Looks like meeting with Russians is common, and not much of a red flag. It's what important people do.
WASHINGTON—Mike Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation and congressional officials investigating the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia that he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter.
As an adviser to Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, and later one of Mr. Trump’s top aides in the White House, Mr. Flynn was privy to some of the most sensitive foreign-policy deliberations of the new administration and was directly involved in discussions about the possible lifting of sanctions on Russia imposed by the Obama administration.
He has made the offer to the FBI and the House and Senate intelligence committees though his lawyer but has so far found no takers, the officials said.

He thinks prosecution would be unfair. Sounds like he's more scared of the witch hunt than what he actually did.
It also wouldn't be anything close to a crime for the incoming administration to be discussing lifting sanctions with the Russians.
So some dude that got fired for being a liar is going to be some kinda star witness against the Trump administration? Kinda weak if you ask me, and I REALLY don't likeTrump.
If given immunity it would make him a very good witness. Lying would invalidate his immunity and would end up with him in jail.
How is it a witch hunt when he's already had to resign for lying about talking to russians?
I don't think the goal here is to pin a crime on Flynn though, right?

Sure it is.
The last two paragraphs illustrate novelist talent.
By Trump, sure. Flynn takes immunity, admits to everything, he personally hacked the dems, etc. etc., investigation over, Trump wins.
it takes time to destroy evidence...they're in no hurrythe fact that he hasnt been taken up on the offer makes me think he doesnt have shit to say.
if he had even a smidgen of dirt on ol' tiny hands, they would be falling all over themselves to wrap him up.
