Just watching this now. Apparently, blew out the windows of a nearby store. Not clear on injuries/deaths, if any.

There are multiple reports on Twitter of an explosion at the Boston Marathon.
We spoke to a Boston Police Department Spokesperson who said there was "some sort of incident at 671 Boylston Street", which is the finish line for the race. They could not give out further information at the time of the call.
Live video from CBS shows ambulances at the scene. Fox News reports that there were two explosions.
Reporters on the scene are reporting dozens of injuries and lost limbs. TV crews are showing images lots of blood on the ground.

...definitely not al-queda, definitely not Iran, definitely not North Korea, definitely not anyone else that we are at war with (or trying to start a war with)! My guess is another FBI entrapment scheme that, once again, got a little out of hand. Be mindful of buzz words like "domestic terrorism", "militia", and "constitutionalists"!

Nonetheless, this is definitely a tragedy for those injured and affected by this event -- thoughts go out to them and their families.

I've got a friend who runs it almost every year -- hope she's okay. Guessing she finished well before it, but she's pretty social and I'm worried she might've been hanging around the finish.
 
My father just arrived in Boston last night. Shit, no answer. I know it's highly unlikely, but this is scaring me a bit
 
Bomb squad about to explode suspicious device across from library. Officers told to take cover behind vehicles



Police have found an exploded device and will have a controlled explosion within one minute near 600 Boylston across from the Boston Public Library.
 
Texting or email (assuming he has a smartphone) are probably best. I just emailed my friend, but no word yet.
 
Reports coming in that ball bearings found-therefore not an accident but an intentional act to inflict harm.
 
If not a gas line, I really need this to be some psycho here and not more terrorism

ABC is reporting that Mass. General says that two people have died. Unconfirmed.
