This makes no sense...

But if he truly doesn't want to go to LA, then I'd trade C.J. for him. It's about time we took a risk.

Kawhi for Irving

Then if we are going full rebuild send Dame to Bos for Tatum/Draft pick/Expirings and let’s build around...
Nurk/Collins/Tatum

Who would you get behind in a potential Lakers v Warriors conference finals?

From franchise standpoint I prefer Warriors but looking at their respective teams now I think I would actually like Lakers players more despite them being Lakers players. Both are evil anyway.

I'd cheer for a meteor to hit whatever building they're playing in.

Well guys, you won’t be seeing me in the game threads.. there goes our winning streak too...

I’ll still hang around because I love you guys... but I think I’m done with basketball

Same... why bother being an NBA fan at this point, I'm never going to be a fan of a team besides the Blazer so it's just a waste of time. I'm so disappointed.

Since 1980, ZERO small market teams have won a championship that didn't have either LBJ or Tim Duncan on it. Now, LBJ has joined a big market team, we're not going to win a championship, sorry.

We're all going to die eventually, so what's the point of it all? We fight against the coming dawn, and that my friend is what it's like to truly live!!

You don't need to apologize, it's not your fault. But I have been a fan since the beginning and did see the Blazers win a championship and it's been an abusive love/hate relationship ever since. Allow me some time to grumble, I'll get over it and will be there glued to the TV on opening night as usual.

I had to process this a bit before even replying to this thread As poorly ran as the Flake show is perceived to be, They flounder for a couple of years and then put the team in a position to recreate a love fest in LA LA land.

I get the big market attracts big talent. When we had aggressive management, we also had the ability to attract a lot of great players. Every year it get tougher to bake that cake...

That's gotta be a statistical fluke, right? The league couldn't really want the major markets to win for ratings purposes, right?

Absolutely not a fluke. Let's say the media market size of LA is that of Portland, Minny, SLC, and OKC combined. Is it easier to make LA fans happy or fans of those 4 small market teams happy? If Portland fans stop watching in droves, shrug. If LA fans stop watching in droves, it's a real problem for the league. What's the answer? Parity? No, parity does not maximize profits, the APPEARANCE of parity does. That's what they've been going for, and they've been very successful at that.

When was this? I must have missed it. The only "great player" I know of who signed with us of his own free will was Sabonis.

To see my most hated teams be powerhouse while our beloved Blazers stuck in basketball purgatory is a nightmare coming into reality. FUCK!

At least the Raptors and their fans can celebrate and rejoice though.

Who is tired of seeing the Warriors win? Shall we root for Rockets or Thunders, if the Blazers don't make it?
How does Steve Ballmer feel about his $2B investment in the Clippers?

As long as it's not LA.
