I know OKC Is younger, and I know they just won a title.

I know SA is younger, just drafted the second best prospect in the draft to go along with a generational player as well as the reigning rookie of the year

I know Detroit is younger, was in the playoffs already and have a very good roster

BUT… We gave 12 potential all stars on our roster, including, but not limited to, someone who hasn’t even played a summer league game yet.

In all seriousness, folks, what are we thinking……will we get the 1st seed, or will our youth slip us all the way down to the 2nd seed?

You, and everyone else here, said the Rockets were total crap (a lottery team), and they quickly became a 2nd seed with a very bright future. Blazers are on a similar trajectory. Just admit you were wrong, and move on.

You’re so mean sometimes.

Isn’t that what this thread is all about? And yes, I forgot about the Rockets. What do you think, 2nd or 3rd seed?

To have the brightest future in the league we need to draft more WABCs - because they reflect the sunlight being light skinned with a lot of said skin to reflect said light.

We could possibly slip all the way down to 4th...sorry, but that's just very possible

I think we'll be battling for a play-in spot. I'm really hoping we get this young core some playoff experience starting this season and Chicago gets to draft with our pick at around pick 17.

I really think the Blazers could be in the mix for any spot up to the 3rd seed next year.

In 2023 the Kings were the 3rd seed with 48 wins, the 4th seed had 45 wins. The West is brutally competitive so there might be very few win difference between about #3 and #9 next season. Now I don't think the Blazers have any chance at contending as other teams will even with seeds lower than 3rd. But regular season wins is a different animal. Blazers have the youth, might have the depth, and if they have good injury luck its certainly possible they play around that 46 win level.

Last season the Lakers were the 3 seed with 50 wins and the Grizzlies were 8th with 48 wins. So six playoff teams separated by 2 games.

What we have here folks is a paradox wrapped in an enigma!

This might be the most KingSpeed post of all time and that includes all of his posts!

Too many variables and questions.

Will Scoot continue his progress, esp with Simons now out of his way (tho Jrue kinda is in his way).

Will Shaedon continue to show growth, and not take a step back or stay at the same level that he played last year (i.e., not enough positive growth)?

How will Clingan play this year? Will he be in shape to start the season? Has he worked on his hands?

I want to wait until we see Yang at least play some summer league because I make any kind of comments about him.

Did Toumani work on his dribbling and shooting?

I don't think they have the brightest future (unless Yang is, by some miracle, the next big thing), but at least it's better than it was 3 years ago.
