Lets get the big man back. Hes ufa and cheap. Even if he is the 12th man off the bench it will be worth it.

Sadly, I think he's done. What a tragedy. Hopefully he saved his money.

Seriously, his knees probably cost him half a billion dollars. He had both the game and the personality to be the new Shaq.

Why? He offers nothing at all.

Odin was the son of Bor and the Frost Giantess Bestia. Odin pined for the day he would ascend to his father's place as leader of the gods. When time-traveling god of evil Loki arrived from the future and transformed Bor into snow, Odin claimed his father was dead and assume rule over his lands alongside his brothers Vili and Ve. The three brothers returned to their father's kingdom of Asgard, which had become home of the gods. Upon the apparent death's of his brothers at the hands of the fire-demon Surtur, Odin absorbed their life essences, increasing his own power (the "Odinpower") and assumed sole rule of Asgard.

Then he had microfracture surgery, and the rest, as they say, is history.

He used to be a warrior, then he took an arrow to the knee.

Bring in female Thor instead

Transplant Meyers' knees to Oden, he doesn't seen to be needing them.

A back injury, eh? That's Greg for you, always coming up with novel ways to break down.

Oden? No thanks. Although, I put 10 bucks down that if he played as many minutes this coming season as Leonard Meyers, he'd have better stats. ;)

I've said it before but it bears revisiting that guys like Oden should come back through the D league and not waste precious roster spots for healthy talent. I don't feel sorry for Greg. He's made more money per minute on the court than about any player in recent history. Got paid to sit in crutches for how many years? I wish no player ill will except for Raymond Felton.

Well, it's not like he's forcing anyone at gunpoint or threat of lawsuit. If teams consider him a good enough investment to give him a roster spot, in that sense he's earned it.

More like the 15th off the bench. If there was sny hope of getting productive backup minutes 45 games per year it'd be worth it.

I watched Oden for the Heat a bit last season and I think Meyers would outplay him right now, and Meyers isn't very good

I hope so to but the guy loved to hang out in bars, clubs and strip joints. I would bet he made it rain a few times as well. So thats probably why he's still trying to play.

Who cares about 45 games if he's not healthy to play the whole playoffs?

Can I ban the op for even suggesting this?

Just kidding rook.

But seriously. Fuck oden.

Wow, there's a lot of bitterness in this thread. GO came here a young, optimistic, fun-loving kid and after injury after injury his body wouldn't allow him to live up to the massive expectations we had for him. So what if he went out at night? Did his knees explode because he had a few drinks? Rehab is hard, boring and lonely. You're in a strange town and you're not really a part of the organization that brought you out here. Any of us would have done the same thing.

His body can't handle the wear and tear of NBA basketball. Don't blame GO. By all accounts, he's a good guy. I wish he and Brandon had stayed healthy, but you can't always get what you want.

I wish him nothing but the best.
