I'm all for it. Even over a sign and trade for Amare. Imagine if we could entice Dirk then trade with the Spurs to bring in Parker!

Tony Parker
Brandon Roy
Nic Batum
Dirk N.
Lamarcus Aldridge

Bring Rudy, Oden, Camby, Mills off the bench....

We win the West.
 
So, we get Parker and Dirk for free?

Our roster would be gutted.
 
Man, that is a soft starting 4/5--and their games are a bit redundant.

Wait, I just checked again and noticed you said bring Mills off the bench. Sorry, I think it's unlikely he'll make the squad let alone a 2nd string PG.

I made no mention of Bayless, Miller, JPEC, Pendergraph, Reno boys, etc.

These pieces can all go and net us Dirk and Parker...providing each don't get max contracts.
 
This guy is either the biggest homer in the entire world, or a troll. I'm leaning towards the latter.
 
Also, perhaps we should find a GM before we try to trade away literally half of the team.

Been a Blazer fan much longer than you....and "at least" attempt to have some fun here and contribute with ideas. When was the last time you proposed a possible trade?

Lighten up! We're both cheering for the Blazers...and we both want too see something happen, when we both know that we have an enormously disorganized mess at the moment!

Don't be ridiculous. Those pieces are worth a hell of a lot more than Dirk and Parker. You must be a fan of another team trolling this forum, trying to act like our players aren't worth anything.

We could get into the LeBron James sweepstakes if we were willing to give up Bayless, Miller, JPEC, Pendergraph, Reno boys, etc. But that would destroy our depth.

I'm totally serious! If we could add Dirk (adding a phenominal scorer) and Tony Parker...Roy would ave so much less attention placed upon him....add Batum and A healthy Oden (and until Oden is healthy, we use LMA at Center...with Camby spelling either Dirk or LMA......have Rudy off the bench (hoping he returns to form), we'd be tough come playoff time.

My first move would be Parker. Trade Miller, Bayless, Pendergraph for him. Then pursue Dirk, as he'd be the missing piece to our puzzle (even if it meant moving LMA)
 
B-Roy: you can always call me a homer! But not a troll! I was at the MC when Bill Walton, Bobby Gross, Luke, Pinball and the Train won the Championship! And the best piece to that puzzle was Gross (IMHO). So no troll here. Although I now live in BC Canada, I bought season tickets an hour after we won the lottery (with the promise of Oden being selected) and I only dream of putting some stars around Roy, so we can bring another Championship to Portland!


PS. Made it to 26 games....living in BC! Did give the tickets up the following year, as it was quite the task driving six hours for a Blazer game! LOL. Homer? Sure! troll.....not.

How about:

S&T: Aldridge/Pryzbilla/? for Dirk

Trade #2: Bayless/Miller/?/etc for Nash

not sure how we could pull it off (maybe a couple of three ways or something), but re-uniting Nash and Dirk and becoming a mid-tempo team while keeping Batum, Oden, and Camby (for defense) would be awesome.

Nash/Williams?/Koponen
Roy/Rudy
Batum/Babbit
Dirk/Cunningham
Camby/Oden

/\ championship team? - not saying we'd be able to pull those trades off, but they'd be pretty great.

No offense, but this a pretty lame idea- even if it could work.

At PG you have a 119 year old starter, completely unproven rookie probably out of position and a Finn who so far can't make it past summer league. FAIL

At SG you have no depth. But good if healthy.

At SF Batum (a player with potential) and 100% unproven rookie. FAIL

At PF a marshmallow soft flopper and a SF out of position. MARGINAL FAIL

At center, if healthy, it works. GOOD

Overall, it won't get out of the first round.
 
With Dirk, we're instantly a WCF contender. I mean, look at his record.

Bullshit, Dirk is a shooter, but he's not soft at all. Nash is old, but he's still going and an incredible shooter/facilitator. Roy and Rudy = no depth, are you kidding me? Roy's going 36 mpg and Rudy's likely not going to play terrible all next season. Cunningham = tweener (who leans to PF) at the NBA level. He sets hard picks and rebounds well, is fine at PF. That team is at minimum a conference finals team.

I like it. Prefer Parker over Nash, long term...but Nash is awesome. I'd include Pendergraph at PF and Mills at PG on your overall team.

Does anyone on this board actually believe LaMarcus is a better player then Dirk?

I find that hard to believe.

If all you have to give up for Dirk is LaMarcus + filler you do it and walk away laughing.

LMA is my own biggest disappointment. He's a softy. Lacks the killer instinct. Dirk still has a couple years and if we must give up LMA to get him...I say "do it yesterday"

Dirk is as soft as they come. Yes, he can shoot. And he can flop. But that's about it.
