So long story short today my somewhat nice video card crapped out on me. In my desperate search to figure something out I stumbled upon this thread:

Basically it says to put your striped down graphics card in the oven for about 8.5 minutes at 385 degrees to fix it! AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!:ghoti::clap::chestbump::pimp:

The idea behind it is you liquify and reharden all the soldier points which fixes the microfratures that occur over time from heating and cooling.

My video card preped for the oven...hahaha

And it now smells like tuna casserole.

That is awesome! Do you play Black Ops?

I once had a fried graphics card too, but I never even thought of cooking it.

wow great info thanks Rizz!!!

Day 2 and video card still kicking ass...

I read on the link I posted that it usually lasts for 3-6 months BUT you can just repeat the process...one guy said he baked his card back to life 3 times over already

PS...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow...just googled that, thanks! Gonna try to recover pics on a busted HD

Wow. I'd never heard this before. That is awesome. I think my mom's video card is going out on her, I may be doing some baking soon!

Basically the same as the towel trick for broken xbox's.

This is nothing new.

KP preached it to us for years.
