<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">September 2, 2005 -- Larry Brown has filled out his coaching staff, plucking two of his assistants from Detroit, David Hanners and Phil Ford, The Post has learned.

A source close to Brown said under no circumstances did he want any of his old Pistons' staff unemployed following his messy departure. Brown would have, too, hired assistant Pat Sullivan, but the Nets tabbed him before Brown landed in New York.

Brown has a soft spot for Carolina guys. Hanners and Ford, both former UNC players and assistant coaches, will join top assistant Herb Williams. Hanners was with Brown in Philadelphia and coached the Pistons' summer league team in Las Vegas. </div>

Now our coaching staff is even better with them coming aboard. These guys are very much familiar with Brown's system and will only make the coaching better for us.

Yuuepp, this will definitely help: the coaching yall have is really great. They know Browns system and the Knicks will benefit from having such a great coaching staff.

I actually think the Knicks might do SOME damage this season.
