I wonder if the TWolves are getting ready to draft Kevin Ware in the draft?

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

At least DS won a playoff series.

Because DS sucked ass?

Go Blazers

Damon was a very good, fast PG on the court. You just say that because of his problems off the court. If Damon never had those problems off the court he probably would have not only retired a Blazers he probably would have his number retired as well.

No. He wasn't a very good, fast PG on the court. he was a shoot happy SG who was tiny, didn't shoot that well and made a lot of bonehead decisions.

Even if he had retired a Blazer, his # wouldn't have been retired.

Well Damon was still the starting PG who led a team to the to the WCF twice.

which means that BJ Armstrong is an all time great then? He was the starting PG for a few NBA championship teams...

Once while whining because Greg Anthony played in the 4th quarter over him most games on a team that could actually win the title.

6, in fact. And Lillard would probably whine too if he was stripped of his duties every time the fourth quarter came around. Especially after all the game winners Damon hit in his rookie year.

The only thing I choose to remember about Damon was the airport fiasco where he tried to hide weed in tinfoil.

His rookie year for a Toronto team that won 21 games? How many game-winners did he make that year?

He willed them to all 21 of those wins. I believe he hit at least 4 or 5 game winners. He was awesome that year. Taking a team that didn't exist the year before, that drafted BJ Armstrong with the top pick in the expansion draft, to 21 wins was actually impressive.

That's too bad. He played some great basketball for us.

He did? Damon was OK, but I wouldn't call his play in Portland 'great'. I thought Greg Anthony should have played more minutes, truth be told. Damon did have ankle issues for a long time, though.

Damon was the master of the 1 on 5 fast break three pointer.

DS pounded the ball until there was little time on the clock more trips than not. Then he either threw up some weak shit shot, or passed a teammate a flaming bag of crap with 2 second on the shot clock.

Damon was a ball hog on teams that had much better players.

Damon couldn't make the entry pass into the post to save his life.

Damon couldn't guard a chair. That's why Greg took his Q4 minutes.

Damon made a stupid amount of money for very average production.

DS did not make his teammates better.

Oh, and bullshit to me only worried over his off court acts. Iirc, all of his off court crap had to do with weed. Who cares? That has 0% to do with why I didn't like DS as a Blazer.
