another thing, as soon as a team gets physical game changes, everything goin rangers way till mike tyson on skates goes after staal, and just like that less then a minute later they score, call it a coincidence?

I did watch the game. One goal. ..yuppie.. great shooting percentage... no morale victories. ..need goals

Which is exactly why I said I was disappointed in the one goal. Great chances, not finished. Motto of this team. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the puck was in Boston's zone for the majority of the period and that the Rangers controlled play for the most part of the period. Boston is a great team, and one mistake will always cost you against them, which is why I posted even before they scored that goal we need to score more despite the great play.

Domination gets standing O's shift after shift. . Didn't hear that during the period. It was a good period but hardly dominating.

Keep playing like in the first period but try to actually aim for a change instead of just letting it go and see what happens.

Whatever Al. Pessimism will make you a miserable old man, so enjoy old age.

Oh, there is the issue Al, I figured it out. Unless you are up 2 or 3 goals you wouldn't say domination. We totally out played them and controlled the play in every way. You are simply looking at goals and saying no domination. We are saying the control of play and numbers of chances was way in our favor. You are simply looking at the score.

That's the misunderstanding between us. We totally controlled the play in the 1st, no doubt about it, but the game is tied.

All good.

At any rate, who cares now. Game is tied 1-1. Here we go.

Same old story against Boston, Rask stones them long enough until their size forces the Rangers into a few mistakes and then they win it in the 3rd.

No. Realism is realizing that the Rangers did dominate that period but, as usual, couldn't put the puck in the net. Shit like that happens all the time with this team. Also, regarding standing ovations, when was the last time the Garden fans have a standing ovation for good offensive zone presence and not for a good PK or chanting "Henrik" when he makes a save? Too many suits at these games now that don't truly understand hockey. But think what you will. If the Bruins have a period like the Rangers did in the first, but wind up only with one goal, and the Rangers have 5 shots, but also score a goal, then you'll agree that Boston didn't dominate the period? I highly doubt that.

Breakaway. ..no goal. .three on two..n guess what we're fucking losing

And now we are down. You pretty much nailed it 71. This is the pattern against Boston. That and MANY MANY turnovers in our own zone.

This is what happens when you totally control play and only score 1 goal.

We better step it up again. This start after the break is murders row, and if we aren't careful we can drop quickly.

Let's go.

Good call SC....Looks like you saw this movie before

I still think they are going to win this game

How about a PP goal. Down to 11 overall from a high of 7. PP needs to be better.

clearly we are gettin physically abused, and we can't do a thing about it,,, don't have personnel

Hate to say it but right now Rask is a better goalie than Lundqvist.

This is what teams like Boston do to us. To a lesser extent Philly tries to do that to us as well (they just don't have as much talent as Boston). Lucic and that 4th line kill us against the Bruins.

Hank has been a roller-coaster this season. Start was awful. Then was great for a while. Then the Olympics and the big ice happened. Now he has been below average the past two games.

Nash has been the same. Down, then up, now down again.

Usually its that midget Marchand who kills us too

CAN WE GET A FUKKKKKKKING CREASE CLEARER PLS????

Soderberg just standing in the crease for 10 min

Get McIlrath up here

This is also why it concerns you having a goalie with an 8.5 mill cap hit, 1.5 mill higher than any other goalie. I am not sure that is the recipe for a SC winner. That extra money buried into your goalie means you have to cut corners elsewhere.

And that is game. When you totally out play a team and score 1 goal, it almost ALWAYS comes back to bite you.

I said it before the Hawks game, but I am very concerned with this start after the break...very concerned. The Hawks win made me think maybe it won't be that bad, but now yesterday and tonight, and I am very concerned again.

LOST IN COVERAGE 2 goals 3-1 lead, all good play out the window

This is exactly why we need a Kesler type C, Stepan and Brass are just too small and limited against this team.

Outside of the PP, the play has been in our zone the whole period. Bruins doing to us what we did to them in the 1st. Difference...they have actually scored goals.

Teams like Boston can handle many shots and have the ability to cash in....thats what they do. All those shots...one frigen goal...now we are down by two. Need more talent.

i don't know why the hot handed goalie is sittin on bench, yes i do stinkin money!!

Agreed. I am tired of watching Stepan skate around and do nothing and then get knocked off the puck.

Kesler might be a 60 pt guy at this stage of his career but at least he has great size and plays physical.
