From the very beginning when Sonny Gray signed a Yankee contract.
I and most others, had zero doubt Sonny Gray could pitch successfully. But could he pitch successfully in the Bronx.
And you hit the nail on top of the head Sonny Gray is a big pussy.

I remember hearing about pitch selection. I would love to see these same stats broken down by what was thrown when the count was 0-0, 1-0, 2-0.

Not for nothing, but the Yanx do have a history of being mediocre in the handling of pitchers. Whether it be poor coaching, medical/rehab reasons, not competently using analytics, or poor drafting and/or developing young pitchers, there have been quite few cases where the Yanx' have either failed at grooming young prospects or handling of veteran pitchers.

Andy Pettitte, who was drafted nearly 30 years ago, is the last home grown starter that I can think of that distinguished himself.
