Bulls vs. Blazers Game Thread

It was a fun 1st half. Our games are usually slow and kind of boring.

Our big 3 are all having nice games so far.

And Oden gets to start the 2nd half :D

He played great but was only on the court for 10min. Just not enough.

Bulls have nobody to guard LMA, Oden, and Joel. Keep Noah off the glass at his offensive end and the Bulls cold shooting means no 2nd chances. 2nd chance shots is how they've been able to win games.

Don't take them lightly, get out there right away and manhandle them.

LMA 8-11, 17 points
Oden 3-3, 10 points
Joel 3-3, 6 points

That's 14-17 shooting.

Noah 3 rebounds, 0 on the offensive end

Wow I really am starting to love Dante.

Why? What have you really seen of him? Blazer fans always go crazy over the new guy. I remember when people loved Bonzi his rookie year and people went nuts for Randolph when he started entering the rotation.

I gotta say we look so much better in the frontcourt when Nate brings in Dante vs. Howard, and mixes and matches at least one of Oden or LMA in the game with our backups. It actually gives Miller targets in the paint to pass it to.

Big 3 playing like a Big 3. Man, would be cool if LMA played like this every game. Or at least 19 & 9 a game.

People went nuts for bonzi and zbo for their hustle to bad they fell in love with their jumpers.

Does anyone know what the crowd was chanting after Oden made the hook shot on noah? Sounded like "Feed him" but I could have been hearing things

yeah, and that chump Webster, he's 1-7 tonight!:devilwink:

Why, what haven't you seen? He can score and he plays pretty decent D and at least shows fundamentals with his boxing out. For a second round guy he's outperforming his draft position.

nice job by the blazers so far. i was looking forward to oden vs noah...so far other then noahs poster on oden... odens been better.

Webster and Dante have been good with hustle.

The only player I'm disappointed in so far is Rudy for those two stupid fouls.

ZBo has never stopped hustling. Hustling was and always has been his strength. You don't grab 10 rebounds a game without working hard. Remember how in love people fell with ZBo in 03 because he was actually playing in the paint, which is what people wanted Sheed to do? ZBo was everything people wanted and his insertion to the starting lineup had us winning three straight playoff games before succumbing to Dallas in Game 7. Somewhere along the way, people decided to hate Zach. I don't believe his game changed.

You want to see the new guy come in and take advantage of his PT, and Dante showed some hustle out there. Gave us an extra possession with the offensive board. He provided some good energy.

Take out Brickster from the box, and the Blazers are shooting 23/33 (69.7%)!!

D. Rose must still be pretty hurt or something, he just doesn't look like the same player this year

He's grabbed a couple boards, bricked a shot, and turned the ball over. Sure, he might turn out to be a good player but you don't think you're overreacting to a few minutes of basketball? Travis could do the same thing and you'd be hating on him.

You forgot the steal.

Besides, cut the guy some slack, he's a rookie seeing his first major minutes of the season.
