9:40: Clingan, Banton, Sharpe, Murray and ? short guard with white shirt and white striped shorts
13:38: Rupert and McGowan join Clingan, Banton and Sharpe (playing Wall, Rivers and Looney)
16:17: As above except Murray replaces Clingan.
Rupert? I think that's Andre Jackson Jr.

Had nothing to do with ROOT. Everytime this dude blames the Blazers it was actually ROOTs fault. Everytime he blames ROOT, it’s actually on the league or team’s fault. EVERYTIME he throws blame somewhere it’s at the wrong target EVERYTIME!
You gotta do your homework if you are going to blame people for shit is what I’m saying.
If ROOT was some sort of immaculate godsend to privileged NW fans....
... Why did the Kraken bail out ??
... Why did the Blazers bail out ??

you can't hand someone a squished Twinkie, and say it's just as good as a regular Twinkie. No, it's not. The entire molecular structure has been completely compromised.

I'm 90% sure you're wrong and I'm right, but you be the judge. Here's the player in question:

Here's Rupert:

Even the kicks look the same.

Kris Murray is a little things king. I will continue to be excited about his role player potential amidst all the hate he gets on this board.

Good conditioning for Donovan. I like how eager he is to set screens for his teammates. You could see how many shots guys turned down around the rim while he was out there.

Shae looked smooth and explosive like always. Please stay healthy.

This environment is perfect for Dalano's game. Looked good. Jumper seems to be continually improving.

Rupert looked funny playing in an oversized shirt, not much to take away from him.

Bryce is fun when he's attacking the basket.

The short guy in the white shirt was Devonte Graham.

He does just enough to warrant another year. He is a much better defender than I thought he would be so that in itself is worth a spot on the bench. IMO it will still come down to being able to hit a wide-open 3. If he masters it he will have a long NBA career. Because as you mention he does a lot of little things. But......if he doesn't master it, he will have a short NBA career.

Agreed--a Kris Murray who can knock down shots would be a viable and valuable backup for Avdija.

He's called "Keegan"
That's cute, but in all seriousness, does Keegan actually do the "little things" that Kris is being heralded for here? I honestly haven't watched him, like at all, so I have no idea. I do know that Kris' DBPM last year was better than either of Keegan's seasons.

Yes, I was just being cute. I'm actually a big Kris-booster. He's almost diametrically opposed to what I thought he was when we drafted him. I thought he was what everybody thinks Knecht is in this draft - a big scoring college star who would struggle with a diminished role in the pros and play almost no defense. Instead he's a coach's dream, although he REALLY needs to find his shot to stay on the court, especially as we're currently overstocked with forwards.

I think Banton is the perfect 6 man..rebounds and gets buckets. He looked better than Sharpe to me in this pickup game. Good to see them all out there getting a jump on the preseason.

I don't know about 6th, but I do like having him on our bench. I think you can play him with two shooting guards if needed.
I question how he would fit with Scoot and Deni, but I think when those two are on the bench he helps the 2nd unit if you surround him with 2-3 shooters. Your "favorite" player being one of those shooters.

Banton is the Bizarro World Slo-Mo. I was always a Slo-Mo fan.

Murray definitely looked improved. Hope it translates to the court next season.

What I learned

Clingan is big, slow and has good basketball instincts

Scoot is athletic and a good passer

Sharpe is smooth

Murray found his jumper? Was that Murray?
Sharpe didn't do a damn thing in that video. Everyone else at least had some highlights

Who's the ugly white guy in gray - looked about 6'4"? Looked like a young Coby Karl? He was cooking everybody. Also... did our guys win one game? Definitely seemed to do worse with Scoot.

I agree...with a dependable perimeter shot he could be an impact player. Not huge impact, but one of those high BBIQ guys who does all the little things well enough to be a rotation guy

I'm just skeptical he can develop that perimeter shooting. The stats resume is not encouraging. 35% from the college three point line and 27% last season. More predictive may be his FT shooting. Under 70% (barely) in college and 66% last year. Also, nearly 20% of his shots last season were taken in 3-10' from the hoop zone, and he only shot 33% on them; factored with his FT marks, that's a red flag about his overall shooting touch

all that's not to say he can't find his touch. But the signs are pointing in the other directio
