I had a coupon for buy one, get one free so I stopped by and grabbed one for my wife, and one for me....Where do I begin?....at the begining I guess....1st, the patty is so big, as much of it hangs off the side of the bun as is on the bun....If you cut it in half, it would be big enough to make 2 normal burgers, and frankly I would prefer that....if i wanted to eat meat by itself, thats what I would have ordered....2nd, one bite in I realized that the King has lost his freaking mind....an odd taste and an odd texture greeted my mouth as mashed freaking potatoes oozed out....mashed potatoes? really? thats the idea? mashed freaking potatoes....if they were decent pototaes, it might have been ok, but they tasted like they came out of a banquet frozen dinner....come to think of it, the pattie tasted like it came from the same package....that ruined it for my wife, she couldnt continue....I scrapped off the potatoes, but they were soaked into the upper bun, so I had to eat the rest as an open faced burger....it was a decent burger once I fixed it....its definetly not worth the $4.50 they want for them, Id never buy one again, even if they put them on the dollar menu....

I had one and thought it tasted awful. The potatoes definitely ruined it.

they sell a regular steakhouse burger, without the "loaded", that might be damn good....if you are hell bent to try one, get that one....

I love burgers too, I'll ask for one without the mashed potatoes. Nice tip people.

I wonder what "the King" will think of next? sheesh.

Why is it that some people will try to stick *anything* between two buns? Some things just don't belong there, including mashed potatoes.

[insert gay joke here]

I'll stick with the spicy chicken, no thanks on the steakhouse burger.

The regular steakhouse is pretty solid.

Never had the loaded steakhouse. Mashed potatoes on a burger seemed like a stupid idea to me.

The Loaded Steakhouse is the 2nd best burger I've had at a fastfood restraunt (BK Quad Stacker is my favorite). You are missing out if you get it without mashed potatoes. The burger is so damn good, especialyl with those buy one get one free coupons.

btw, i only could finish about 3/4 of the second burger. These things are huge.

lol, I haven't had one, but I kind of feeling like trying to see if I can eat 2 now.

Guys, buy some hamburger and grill it yourself. Its alot better for ya.

Huh... I didn't think it actually had mashed potatoes, just some kind of sour creme and chives shit.

Either way, It wasn't on my "got to have it list".

Panera makes a pretty mean breakfast sandwich though.

The BK near my home has been closed down twice. They'd ruin your food *every* time. I think it's becoming an Arby's now. So that's tainted my opinion of Burger King. I generally won't eat it unless I'm dragged there. A mashed potato burger just encourages me to stay away.

+1 it just tastes a hell of a lot better too.
stuff a homemade burger with blue cheese in the middle.. amazingly great.

I haven't had fast food in over a year and a half. Stay away from that crap.

I'm no elitist, I admit to occasionally eating fast food. The great thing about fast food is that people with busy lives can stay busy and still get something to eat while they only have a small window of time to get it done. The problem is when people make it a habit.

My personal favorite is the Big Mac w/no lettuce. I never get fries or soda either, becasue that's where the real health issues exist. Their hamburgers, stand alone, are not that bad for you. Yes, they have calories, but I burn a lot of calories too.

Here is a tip, always order your burger *special*, so that they have to make it fresh. Don't order it as is. They might hand you one that they made an hour ago.

I almost never drink soda (20% of the average person's calories per day right there), or eat too many Fries, so that allows me to munch on these burgers more easily.

Me too. I'll have a diet coke if I'm going to drink soda. Through the course of the day that'll save several hundred calories

I switched to all diet for my sodas a few years ago. So I have no calories there. I had to trick myself to do it though. I went cold turkey with no sodas for ~3 weeks. When I had that first diet, it tasted fine and I've never looked back.

I can't even consider that stuff fast food. Every time I eat it, it makes me feel tired (itus) and totally slows me down. If I'm on the rush, I'd rather not eat and wait until I'm home than go for "fast food."

man no one drinks soda? I mostly drink juice, and I know a ton of people who don't drink sodas.

I'm the same as ROTR. I eat fast food rarely, and if I do...I NEVER get soda and rarely get fries.

i used to drink soda everyday, then the Diabetes set it, likely from all the soda i abused....so I had to go cold turkey in a day....when I was told to switch to diet immediately, I went to the supermarket, bought a 2 liter of every type of diet soda they had and spent a few days testing....diet mountain dew was the winner, diet dr pepper was a close second....later I found cherry coke zero....i rotate between those 3, and i dont miss regular soda at all.....I recently went to the movie, got a coke zero from the tap, and i had to go back and make sure it was coke zero, because it tasted so much like coke to me....

Diet sodas are much worse for you, aren't they? I've been told they've got chemicals in them that slowly expand your stomach over time, that they've got chemicals in them that cut off messages to your brain telling you that you're full, etc...

I stopped drinking soda 11 months ago...I lost 15 pounds. I'm sure cutting out fast food from my diet also helped that.

I have also heard that about diet sodas. Diet soda still wins though, because its the sugar that kills you. You might be eating more food in general, but at least you aren't putting your life at immediate risk if you are diebetic.
