I hope you know that "Legit Cheese" must come with at least 10% real cheese by law. I think the number used to be 50% and then one of Trump's appointees changed it.

Looks like 100% cheese to me.

Burgerville has some of the best burgers I've ever had. Love the environment, just like your in the fifties. When I lived further east I went to Cruisers which was also pretty good. Not as good as BV though. Lucky for me I have a Burgerville right across the street.
So jealous

Tillamook cheese is probably the reason their burger's are so good. Local ingredients. They have these new rosemary shoestring fries that are realllllly good too.

On a related note, when is @theprunetang gonna start a cheese thread? After Tillamook cheddar, my personal favorite is Cougar Gold out of Wazzu. I hate the school, but their cheese is something else.

They are famous for using local products whenever possible and whenever they are good.

Holy balls. so now anything under 10% has the vague "CHEESE PRODUCT" name. I accidentally bought a bag of shredded "CHEESE PRODUCT" when I was working out of town once. My intention was to make quesadillas in the microwave as a quick snack. That shit does not melt. Its indestructible. I hate to imagine what it does inside a person's gut. They should study it for military armor applications or dump it on wildfires as a retardant.

I remember eating government cheese when we were poor as kids. It was actually alot like Velveeta. Not real cheese by any stretch of the imagination but it did have it's moments of glory.

Closer to real cheese than Velveeta. It was perfect broiled on toast. Mmmmmmmmmm

It would melt and turn brown but barely liquify

Burgerville is awesome. My fav. That sauce...a Colossol with extra spread and fries with extra spread is my jam.

In'n'out is good. I have a few by me but I never go. Dunno, takes too long tbh

I went to 5 Guys this weekend. a shit ton of meat on the burger but not that good

The Habit is expanding around. I like this spot because they do a Teriyaki burger. There's a few in Seattle area right now but I don't think any in Portland.

Burgerville has Halibut Fish and Chips right now. That makes them #1 in my book.

I never felt like you got a lot for your money at Burgerville, but at least it's local. Don't get me wrong, I like the pepper bacon cheeseburger basket just as much as anyone, and they have my favorite chocolate shake. But, I miss being able to go to somewhere like Arctic Circle. Yukon gold fries and angus burgers.....marshmallow shake or a lime rickey. Oh, and that fry sauce. Mmmm.

5 Guy's burgers suck.

I think they use Cod for most of the year? (which IMO is a better fish for fried fish anyway but that's a different story)
The absolute best fish and chips (well....at least IMHO) is at the Sportsman Pub in Pacific City. Most of the year (just so long as the dories can get out) they serve fresh line caught ling cod. As firm as but much more moist than halibut. And reasonable as hell. But then, Sporty’s is the best kept secret in the PNW......

They only have halibut at specific times during the year now. Usually it's cod. Halibut is WAAAAY better in my opinion. It's just so damn expensive though.

I remember it being a couple bucks more back in the day. Well worth it.
