There is so much more that goes into screening...

Timing, changing the angle of the screen based on how the defense is playing the handler or off ball player, craftiness and subtlety to gain advantage / avoid moving screens I could go on.

A lot of it is mentality as well which isn't very easily coached into players, especially professionals.

That's the thing man, I don't hold grudges, even against people who have insulted my family. But you have so many people that hold grudges against me even though they've personally insulted me more than anything else... People will "quote" me on "always" saying certain things, but it'll always be phrases they make up and don't actually include a quote from me. Why? Because they hold a grudge.
I like to debate basketball. I'm strongly-opinionated. Many others are as well, and argue as such. I have no problem with that. I enjoy that. Others do apparently, since they engage in it as well.

Then the coaching staff isnt doing their job. Its not hard to coach a screen. If you cant get players to set proper screens, thats on you.

And here is the original post you vehemently argue you were only talking about the set/ stance of the screen.

Its not hard to coach a screen. Im sure most everyone here, like me, took that as how to coach a good screen means from start to finish. Not just the stance once you set.

Yeah, I know. I agree with all of that. My whole viewpoint during this whole discussion is the technique of setting a good and strong screen at the point of contact. That was it. Obviously I should've specified that better, so my apologies.

I try to stay away from private messages. I have nothing to say to anybody on here I wouldn’t tell them in their face. As far as “not needed in the forum”, the constant creation and flow of arguments everyday might be something you should add to that list.

We can all be better. I even apologized for not specifying the context of the discussion well enough on my end, something I haven't seen from other posters in here. I can admit when I make a mistake in a discussion that leads to this shit. Often times, I get carried away when I'm stressed or having a bad day. I'm sure other people do as well, which is why I don't hold a grudge against anyone. I got a little carried away with arguing something that I didn't even explain well. It's not like I need you to point it out every time to see it, and I don't know what you get out of it because it's not going to help anything.

This place would be better if you improved some things as well. You continuing these arguments by always having to "get your piece" in on me just adds to the things you say make this place less enjoyable. You're also not consistent with it and if other people say similar things, there's nothing from you. So it shows me that, for as much as you say this place shouldn't be taken seriously, that you still hold a grudge against me. I just want to specify that I don't hold one against you. That's why I don't start shit with you.

Some people are able/capable of learning. Some aren't.
Yes you try to teach in ways the recipient will grasp, but sometimes it just cant be grasped no matter who or how its explained.

To just say its on the coach is very ignorant as to the many different ways people learn and don't learn.

Anyone can learn how to set a screen. I love how some people are acting like it's impossible for some players.
