I'm not saying it is World War, but you could technically call it that. With all the global support and all the locations in which it is being fought, I could see how someone could call it that. However, I do not think it is World War III.

Because there's no countries waging was on us, just a few small factions casuing trouble. I would hardly call that a war. Thousand of people die every day for various reasons, that doesn't justify calling this a war.

hahaha, calling it a world war would be like saying steve nash deserves the MVP.compare it to the world war II.. MILLIONS of people died. millions. we not only dropped a nuclear weapon on hiroshima. but hitler tried erasing a whole race of people w/ the holocaust.right now we are just trying to get a couple of troublemakers back for bombing our building. it's not a world war, not yet.**EDIT**haha check out the picture they used of bush..

You have a large group of people who believe in a certain ideology going up against another large group of people who believe in another. There is no doubt that we are in a time of war right now with the terrorists. War is changing all the time. You must get the idea that a war can only be between two countries out of your head. Well I don't agree with you. As regularguy said, when you compare this to the previous two world wars, it seems like nothing. In those wars, the entire world was involved and many countries lost significant lives and had battles on their soil, with this "war" that's not the case.Also in those wars, there was a large military force which was seeking to conquer, right now we don't have anything like that. There's no comparison between Al-Queda and Hitler.

It is still a war and it is a global war, so you could technically say it is a World War. Just because it is an unconventional war doesn't mean its not a war.

Well it's not a war and no you can't call it that. In that case we can call everything a war, war on grand theft auto, war on drugs, war on serial killers, where ever a decent amount of people have died from the same cause can be called a war.
