I think another team will take him, he'll bring people in at the gate, and if healthy he can still play well enough, with the bonuses you're talking a pile of money to buy him out, I just don't see it happening.

I agree 100%. If Arod was a movie star, he'd be labeled 'box office poison'. Once they Yankees are done with him, then I can't see another team picking up that drama.

He's a stained player, he's a diminished skill player, he is a living reminder of the steroid era that everyone is trying to get away from, he's a low character guy, he's universally despised throughout MLB cities, and after last week when he trashed the Yankees for being "in on it" - what other owner would take on a guy who has shown he's not hesitant to point the finger at him if things go wrong. Oh, and did I mention - he can't play anymore.

I just don't know if another team would take a chance on him but it wouldn't shock me if the Dodgers or Angels take a chance. I don't care as long as he is not with the Yankees after this season.

I agree with the majority that no team would touch him in the future. But keep in mind any arbitration or legal action can cut both ways. Time is on the side of MLB and the Yankees. I strongly feel that MLB and especially the Yankees will start preparing a case to void Arod's contract which I feel can be done, if he has damaged his brand and that of the Yankees. If he has violated the terms of conduct etc. We all say give a guy like Belechick 2 weeks to prepare for a team and he will win. Well, give the Yankees attorney's the time to gather more evidence and we will be happy with the outcome. It's only a matter of time, but it can't come fast enough for us.

I do think NY can find a way to void the deal at this point and maybe even get the union to agree, that is the only hope IMO, because to buy him out would take a ton of money that I don't see even the Yankees giving up, and if he does get another job those milestones could haunt them, very risky even if they could pull it off, they must void.

It's obvious the Yankees would love to be done with him, but I still don't see them paying him to go away. With his surgeries, damage to his body etc., its reasonable to question if he will not have to retire at some point due to all that and insurance will be on the hook for a substantial amount of whats owed. With him, he could also do something else stupid or more come out that he has done and get suspended again. All that said, decent chance the Yankees get out of paying at least some of that $60 million he is likely to be owed once all this is over. Can't see him taking much less in a settlement and can't see them breaking that off to him given the odds of him making it all the way through.
