I have aroung 800 to spend on a new laptop and was wondering if any of you have any suggestions. thanks

yes, buy a desktop PC instead.

I havent used laptops much, but right now im on my Dads Dell laptop, and i like it.

With 800, go for a packard bell 1,47 GHZ celeron processor, they're fine. You should also get around 120 GB HDD with 1024 memory.

Yeah seriously, especially if you're planning on playing any games on that thing. Laptops are not good for games in general anyway. But if you want a good laptop I'd really say you'll have to spend around $1200.

I suggest you save up more money. What are you going to be using the laptop for primarily?

One thing I would say is strongly consider the customer service your going to get if the laptop breaks. From my personal experience I've found Toshiba to be more useful than Dell but that may have changed. The last thing you want to do is be stuck with a defective comp.

thanks for they advice, i bought a alienware off of ebay
