The Yankees have retired the numbers of 16 players, of those 16 players 6 of them had there numbers retired within 2 years from the time they stopped playing. Can you name them?

And please don't cheat. But if you do don't post your answer, leave it for someone who could legitimately answer it.

um.... Berra, Ruth, Dimaggio, & Mantle?


Well you've now got 4 out of the 6 (Mantle & DiMaggio) Funny thing is the 2 you haven't gotten are the two I thought would be the easiest.
 
It's got to be MO....!

I can't think of a greater player, who deserved to have his own #42 retired.

Actually I enjoyed those 20 years of MO, than I did reading and hearing about Jackie Robinson.....

Berra has always maintained "He was out" when Jackie stole home. in the 55 Series. (I hope I got the year right, if not my Brother in Law will have my ass).
