Bynum out 3 months

All 15 fans of the Charlotte Bobcats probably feel like this is karma.

That sucks for him. Hope he recovers...but should probably recover slow versus fast (i.e. rest of the year).

But might put some of the shit-talking laker fans who were yapping about Oden being injury prone and Bowie II to shut the fuck up now.

well everyone loves to call oden injury prone...but bynum has passed him at this point imo. Hes had 2 major injurys now in 3 years....after playing lots of minutes. that doesnt bode well for his future.

Your subject line is incorrect. The link says 8 - 12 weeks. 3 months is 13 weeks.

BNM

It just makes the Blazers chances of beating the Lakers at the RG slightly easier.

After our experience with Oden, I wish only for good things for all big men.

Maybe Bynum is injury prone :lol:

(I don't think he is, it's suppose to be a joke relating to all of such accusations about Oden)

Bummer for Lakers fans. Good for the rest of the NBA.

Ed O.

Wow, even two months means he comes back near the starting of the playoffs. Sound familiar? Last year, he was predicted to come back by then, but ended out sitting the rest of the season.

He's also going to be rusty when he comes back. I think the Lakers just took a huge hit in the championship race.

Same here.

Being happy about guys being injured is bush league bullshit, and while I don't believe in Karma, it sure would be nice to see a little more class than reveling in a guy's misfortune ... especially considering all of the shit we've had to hear about Portland bigs and their ability to stay healthy.

I'm waiting for MIXUM to somehow spin this as being "bad for the Blazers..."

You know when they say 8 to 12 weeks for a torn MCL, I have to tend to believe that they are completely full of shit. He won't be back this year.

If it's a complete tear, he's gone longer. If it's a partial tear (often referred to as a "Grade X sprain"), he could be back. The real question is to how much rust is he going to have to shake off and how will his conditioning be?

So enlighten me on this: I've never had a knee procedure.

Is the "8-12 weeks" projection when he'll be "back @ 100%"? Or "Back and able to start running?" Or "Able to practice, could suit up in an emergency"?

Where is the bionic man scientist when you need them aye? :ghoti:

Sucks for the Lakers, Good for the rest of the Western Conference. I like our chances if we have to play LA in the playoffs and they don't have Bynum.

You have to wonder about his long term health.

He's now torn his ACL (HS injury), and now his MCL in this knee.

This is his third knee surgery, FWIW.

x 5 billion. A good friend of mine could not stop talking about how much oden sucked and how he was injury prone and how bynum was black jesus. :tsktsk:

Oden should give Bynum a call and tell him to hang in there. He must be very discouraged right now.

We should comport ourselves better than L*ker fans.

We all know how it feels to have a injury to our center. I can't say that I am happy but I can't say that I am sad. It is unfortunate and I am glad it wasn't a Blazer. Like some have said, I would much rather beat a full strength team and not listen to excuses of what ifs. I hope Bynum recovers fully and does come back by the end of the season. No team should have to go 2 years, let alone one, with out a main piece to the puzzle.

You knew it had to be something like this.

The way Kobe fell directly into his knee was vicious.

Such a freak accident.

I'm just shocked that MIXUM hasn't spun this into a negative Blazers thread yet.
