Zombie C.J. is horrible

I think it's mostly a case of a blind squirrel.

Maybe, but we had similar problems with Patty Mills... I'm willing to give him another year; he's not personally losing games for us right now.

Even if he pans out I just don't see him being useful for us.

Lillard and Wes won't always play 35 minutes a game for 82 games a year. Maybe that's why he's having trouble breaking through where our front court guys haven't.

It took CJ two years and two injuries to hit the rookie wall, he'll get through it but he's not a solid rotation guy this season as much as we want him to be. He will contribute more than Earl Watson did though. I said early in the season that I thought Barton was more NBA ready and even with Will's lack of control at times, he does play like a guy who could become a 6 man sparkplug. Will needs court time. CJ needs another year under his belt

C* hit a 30-foot buzzer beater in rhythm. That's not "blind" luck. He's a good, if for now inconsistent, three point shooter. He's the best player on the team at getting off and making floaters in the key. He's not a "strong" defender against stonger players, but his defense and court awareness are usually good, and he gets a lot sneaky steals. I don't know if he'll ever be "good enough" but he deserves another year to find out. Unless we trade him for an immediate upgrade, of course. ;)

How can you be a good shooter if you're inconsistent?

Depends on your definition of "good"; if your definition requires consistency, then of course you can't be a good shooter if you're inconsistent.

I wonder if his finger is still bothering him because his shot since he's been back has been terrible.

Even with the mess he has been lately I still trust CJ over Barton. Barton is good to have on hand for small spurts of energy needed though.

Yeah, Barton's great for your 2-on-2 tournament, not for an NBA game.

Barton suffers a bit from almost never playing with the same guys on the court twice in a row. He needs court time but Crabbe is ahead of him in terms of all around game.

Crawchuck is a prime example of a "good shooter" that's inconsistent. He can shoot you in or out of games. Without crawchuck, clippers would have lost both games against us. With Crawchuck, I'm sure clipper lost many of the 13 they lost already.

Almost every legit 6 man in the league is the same, Mo was like that too..they are there to rack up points in a hurry but will never get you a stop. Useful players to have though. I think we would have been better off keeping Jamal as a 6 man but that's long gone

There is still a chance! He maybe the mid-season trade that makes sense! He knows Stotts's system, knows the players.

Get er done Olshey!

Neil Olshey says that CJ "is going to be a big time player"

They obviously must see things we don't. In practice or what not. I'm still undecided on CJ. Looked real promising for a few games, now not so much. Does Olshey saying that sort of hint that we're not willing to trade him or you think he was just saying that..

Neil says things; they rarely correlate to what he does. He told Bledsoe he was a Clipper for life a week before he traded him; same with Camby. He says what he has to, and does what he has to.

CJ isn't close to untouchable by all means but I do think Neil is being serious here. He sees him behind the scenes and I think that is where CJ shines so far. Hopefully that moves to front stage next year.

I think you mean Eric Gordon.

I still prefer CJ over dribble, dribble, dribble, and if there is still time shoot Mo Williams

All the talk about his rookie year as a sensational talent did not preclude his ability to ignite good game stats in only 9 minutes per game average. I say give him a chance to contribute more since Aldridge is on the bench for 2 monthes. Lets see if he steps up when we need bench players the most

With RLopez on the mend and with his contribution we can find win streaks again . No one has more heart than him. Even his hair expresses that.
Side Note: That Boston loss @ home hurt. BTW I'm a member in the Ravens forum. I'll inform me fellow Blazers bud in there about this cool forum.

I can't believe anyone ever called CJ a "sensational talent". LOL

He also is not, as some might suggest, "garbage".

I didn't get to see CJ in his minutes tonight. From the stats, it doesn't look like he did much....

Also looks like Crabbe got some minutes, and had a rough night.

Crazy how a guy who went from playing pretty regularly and then gets sat down for inexplicable (at least to the fans) reasons and then is thrust back in the rotation is going to struggle. Absolutely crazy.
