No matter how many times he hits against the Yankees,
I still would not want him on my team. Here's a guy who
has completely underachieved with what others thought
he was capable [of ]on the diamond.

...and don't forget how he was "disrespected" by the Yanx.

...hell, Cano is not even the best 2Bman in the game anymore...there are at least 3 others who I'd take over him.

not fighting that at all as of now. but like winning the lottery we all say piss on it. robbie won the lotto and he understood going to seattle he was screwed. he does not care. he made generational money with zero pressure. like we all would do.

...big difference between the NYC market and the Seattle market.

...not sure Cano cares or not, but he's possibly voided his ticket to Cooperstown, and all because of greed. He never even gave the Yanx a chance to up their initial $140 Mil offer. I mean how much money does a person need? He could have stayed in NY, made millions more in endorsements, been universally known as the best Yankee 2Bman ever, retired and been a 1st ballot HOFer.
...again, money was the key factor for Cano and it was evidently the only consideration. Personally, I would have played for the Yanx for free...but given the opportunity Cano was given, I would have found a way to remain a Yankee for the rest of my career. And over time, I would probably have also recouped the difference in the money Seattle gave him and what the Yanx would have eventually offered, but again, they were never given the chance.

Fast forward to the 2019 season as the brilliant Yankee GM Brian Cashman brings Cano back to the Yankees for a few prize prospects and that Seattle will pay 1 million per year of salary owed Yankees to pick up the rest. Although Canos sun has set quite low in Seattle Cashman is quite convinced that he'll be his old self in New York at age 37 + just like former Yankee great A-rod.

That's not a dream its a nightmare.

As inept as the "Brass" has gotten since the '10 season it would probably not surprise me. Am I one pissed off fan at the direction this team has taken you bet.

I'd have loved to have kept Cano in pinstripes & I think the Yankees made him a very solid offer. But I'm also glad that the team didn't bend on that 10 year deal.
