He had a decent game tonight. 15 min, 5 pts, 3 Assists, 8 rebounds, a block, +17 diff. What do you guys think his ultimate role will be on this team.... rotational player, starter, future star. I know it's fairly early, but what does everybody see in the crystal ball?

He's a keeper. His energy and rebound strengths are the type of player we need. He is the future. Pay him a hundred mil right now as long as its not our money.

It is over the top

Why? He can't be Green eventually? Even Green wasn't Green until he became a starter, Caleb can't do the same? Swanigan can do everything Draymond does minus running an offense right now.

The good:
Tenacious rebounder, good outside shooter, good passer and some decent low-post moves.

The Not-so-good:

Poor foot speed on the perimeter.
Almost no explosion at the rim. Has to learn to finish from below the rim like Zach Randolph somehow.

Can foot speed be learned and improved upon or is that a born with it skill?

He's a rookie but I think he's going to earn plenty of PT. I really like his energy and he especially pairs well with Davis on the 2nd unit. He's not good enough, yet, to keep in the game against small ball teams - at least against their starters. My hope is that he develops into our starting PF, and soon.

Dont get me wrong, I'm bullish on biggie as well, but he had 5 pts in his 1st 30 seconds on the court. he went 14 1/2 minutes with a 0pt, 6reb line with flashes of D. Sounds like a below-average Vonleh line to me. :dunno:

A shorter Artis Gilmore?

Young Zach Randolph is his ceiling, with all that comes with that: iffy defense, good hands, below the rim play, tenacious garbage man attitude.

Hmmmm... @dviss1 says you can improve foot speed and you say its genetics.

Who am I supposed to believe? :smiley-hmm:
Maybe modest improvements, but the number of quick-twitch muscles a person possesses are hard-wired. https://www.outsideonline.com/1783586/it-possible-change-my-muscle-type

So let's say he somehow maximized the recruitment of his fast-twitch muscle fibers through training and improved his explosiveness by 10%, that's still not going to put him on Draymond's level.
