Can I throw a knife at you? You said it isn't very dangerous. And I'm not a ninja.

No thanks. You have too much practice with those machetes.

The further away you are though, the harder it is to hit someone with a knife.

Really, I'm just saying those cops should have backed up and tried to calm that situation. Instead, they moved toward him and made shit worse.

So you’re saying there’s more limits on owning a knife in California than there is in owning an AK in Texas? Wow.
AK-47 has a fully automatic setting, which is illegal in the United States. Models with semi-automatic settings are available and legal in the U.S. Manufacturers cannot make or import fully automatic weapons for the civilian market.

Bingo

I heard more about this story. Supposedly this guy already stabbed someone. So that does seem to escalate things a bit.

I watched the video. I don't see "attempting to throw" at all.

He looks as he was attempting to throw, then changed his mind.

Nevertheless, its the threat of throwing an deadly weapon. He has the capability to throw it, and was in a stance where he was able to do so.

He has already used the weapon in a deadly manner in attempting to kill someone already. Seems appropriate to put him down if the officers felt there was a threat.

If the cops are coming at you with guns drawn, yeah drop the knife.

I get it though. He was afraid of the cops because they took his legs.

Probably because he was a threat and he did not comply. This guy is a menace to society

He was mentally ill and disabled. He's not around anymore. The cops will have to find someone else to sate their bordem.

He stabbed a random bystander with a large knife.

But yeah, cops must have just been bored.

Didn't hear that part. Doesn't mean he wasn't mentally ill and needed help.

He already tried to kill one person and the police saw him as a threat. Sure, he needed help maybe he was a crackhead, who knows, but you can't help someone trying to kill you.

I've been approached/accosted by random homeless/mentally ill people here in LA and they are pieces of shit and a waste of space. So I have no sympathy when violent psychos get what's coming to them.

They could have handled that situation far better with him surviving and getting said help.
