He was a starter in the NBA. It's pretty good to have that caliber player as a sub. And I think we need the depth at the guard position, especially if we want to play 3 guard schemes.

So Rivers would be an option to replace Hendo. He is gone if we sign Parsons. That's a given.

He's a different player now than he ever was when he was in Portland. His usage percentage is at it's lowest of his career, and his TS% is at its highest. Also, his shots blocked percentage is around half of what it was when he was here, probably because 84% of his shots were jumpshots last year.

Players evolve--evaluations thereof should too. Bayless has grown into a capable backup PG.

when we used to debate Bayless as a PTB, my stance was always the same.... that he was going to struggle until he developed a consistent J. He's no longer the run/jump athlete he was when he played here, but his improved outside shot and acceptance of his weaknesses have made him vastly more effective. Good for Jerryd!
