I didn't know the Blazers had a message board! Do any of you guys go on there?

Nate is not taking ANY chances. Even if it's minor, he doesn't care!

Great, no Center against GS on Monday and Thurs against the Nugs? Perfect!

WHY oh WHY didn't we keep my favorite player last year, Juwan Howard? He was cheap.

He got Camby to like it here...he was such a quality human being...so cheap...so experienced...so versatile...so cheap...

Here's a thought; maybe Howard WANTED to go to Miami for a shot at a ring? His name was mentioned almost immediately once LeBron signed with the Heat. Are you saying we should have locked Howard up long-term last season to avoid losing him?

Seriously? He was sued by numerous women for knowingly giving herpes to them. What are you talking about?

Okay, that's the quality part. You didn't knock out the main one, the cheap part!

He often said while here that he hoped to re-sign here. Management gave him the cold shoulder (they were noncommittal when asked). After the season ended, articles began surmising he wasn't in their plans. Gradually, he drifted out into free agency. Miami pays him $1.3M ($800K cap).

I could look all this up, but I'll let you spend the hour. That's what I read here and in the Oregonian.

We are terribly missing that, well, well, well below average PER of 10 that he posted last year. I'm sure we couldn't possible find somebody to provide a PER of 10 for us!

Like Dante for about half the price, and better across-the-board performance? And almost 15 years younger?

But Dante lacks herpes and I believe that is the essence of Jlprk's above post. Nothing says quality like open sores.

You are SO right. Why oh why didn't we lock him up when we had the chance. Management played it conservative by waiting until the offseason and they payed the price. Our best big man walked away for NOTHING, to a championship contender no less, and here we are with only Marcus Camby in our front court. Woe is me!

Maybe we can trade for Juwan Howard. Batum, Miller and Bayless? Does that get Miami talking, at least?
