Camcorder Help!

I'm totally ignorant on this subject and I need help on HOW to edit the video. For instance....how do i even begin? This is really pising me off. Second (if i ever do learn how to get the video onto the computer...), what program is good to use for a n00b like me.

lol I don't know much about any of the stuff you are asking about, but I'll just post to say what little I know.

Regarding uploading the video to your computer,
1. Try to find instructions that you bought with your camcorder. If you can't find them try to find a copy on the internet.
2. If your camcorder came with a cable that connects to a usb slot, that would be a good guess.

Regarding editing video:
1. Download a trial version of some movie editor at download.com
2. Use Windows Movie Maker if its on your computer, or download it if its free. (I don't know if it is)

You need to have a special outlet to hook it up to your computer, if you dont have this, then you'll need to go out and buy it, but it will be alot of grief.
