Can someone wakeup Glen

Ryan gets paid $5.1M in this and next season so he's definitely not overpaid. And there hasn't been any type of indication that Kreider would have had to be included in the deal as this team has enough young players to have pull that trade without giving up CK.

Sather caught sleeping in his hammock on this one.

People say, get Ryan, get Ryan. For starters, you have another forward with a 5 plus million salary. Second, you surely would have had to give up Kreider to get him. I wouldn't trade Kreider right now straight up for Ryan. Kreider will be cheap for another 4 years. He's much better defensively. While he hasn't fine tuned his finishing skills, he will. Kreider is turning into a legit, powerforward. People wanted Ryan but just throw up his big salary and the fact it probably would have cost us MDZ, Kreider and Miller. No thanks.

1. None of us really knows what we could have gotten Ryan for, or if we could have gotten him at all.
2. It is over and done with and we didn't get him, so who cares really I would think right now.
3. In my opinion we could have kept Kreider and deat MDZ and Miller, with maybe aother decent kid for Ryan, but as I said in # 1, who really knows.
4. What I do think I know right now is Sather needs to wake the F up and make a move. It is really ridiculous now. The guy hasn't done a thing since the trade DL last season. It is comical now.

You're right, it's over with now. But the main point is that he was a guy who was available and Sather didn't choose to get somebody else, he chose to do nothing. We all saw the hole in the top 6 for a scoring winger before the season even started. Ryan was a guy who could have filled it, but nobody is saying he was the only guy.

I'm with you 223. Sather has been awful here, and is asleep at the wheel WAY too often. No doubt about that.

Yeah. You can blame whoever you want when it comes to the New York Rangers.
It's the players. No. It's the GM. No. It's the system. How about a putrid owner
who wants nothing to do with the hockey team. Funny. He knows nothing about
the basketball team either. All he cares about is to make more money.
Dolan is a do-nothing owner. He gives Sather carte-blanche . With this idiot in charge,
I'll always be a frustrated Ranger fan.

Dolan just gave him a big vote of confidence yesterday, it's going to be all on GS when he wants to step down, unfortunately.

No news there. We all know there is NO SHOT Dolan ever fires Sather. Is what it is.

After watching yet another game where Hank gets outplayed by the other team's goalie and gives up yet another soft goal if not 2 I'm wondering if he's worth the $8+ mil a year he's going to want.

How many goals has Hank given up the past 3 games? And how many have they scored? Can't expect your goaltender to shut out the oppostion every time out in order to pick up wins. Hank rarely gets outplayed. The offense? Well that's another story. Time for the offense to do a little more

Horrible owner for a team I love. I'm telling you it is a worse fate for all Ranger fans.

Dolan is a clown, but he's been far from a horrible owner of this team. He remodeled MSG and to my knowledge didn't ask for a single penny from the city. Go ask the Mets and Yankees about their shiny new, taxpayer-paid stadiums. Before the cap was implemented the Rangers were among the highest payrolls in the sport, if not the highest, basically every year and to this day spend as much as they are allowed to by the rules.

The GM's may not have been the greatest but they were all given basically a blank check to put the best team on the ice.

If an owner doesn't know anything about hockey why would you want him involved? This team's success is on Sather, Dolan has never rejected any player Sather has wanted over the years.

I've said 100 times. In hockey, when you don't tank seasons on purpose, it's pretty hard to win titles. I think this team at the end of season with a healthy Nash and one more good trade can contend for a cup. They have badly outplayed the Bruins, Ducks, Kings and a lot of the game, the Blues but Biron blew. That with Nash mostly not playing or just back and not in shape.

I was laughing when I remembered the moron Maple Leafs traded Tuukka Rask for Raycroft. What a bunch of tools.
