I think it's possible we can get to the Finals but do we have a team that is good enough to win in the Finals? Thoughts?

Idk, you're the teacher around here. Teach us so we can learn a lesson.

I think that LeBron will be hard to deny if he gets back to the Finals. I'm worried that LeBron may be winning most of the titles over the next 10 years. As for the Magic, I think it's possible. How does Camby play against Dwight Howard? We did beat the Magic without Roy, right?

Fine, I'll bite. If we have a team good enough to make the finals, we have a team good enough to win the finals (based off of who we'd have to beat to get there). That said, we're not making the finals.

Assuming we made it, which we won't, I think we could possibly beat the Magic. Not the Cavs, they have just owned us for years now.

Don't you think Orlando and Cleveland are tougher than the teams in the West? The 1999 Knicks were good enough to reach the Finals but there was no way they were going to beat the Spurs. The 2002 Nets were good enough to reach the Finals but they weren't even close to the Lakers' level. Same with the 2007 Cavs. Good enough to reach the Finals but no where near good enough to compete when they got there.

Honestly, I think we'd take the Magic in 5. Call me crazy, but they don't scare me that much. The Cavs...get out the brooms. They own us, and it sucks. I agree with Zack Addy that Bron may claim ownership to many of this decades Larry O'Briens.

they're both too physical. our biggest asset is our back court......but LeBronze or Dwight would eat up our defense. We just don't have the weapons right now to attack them, especially if the bench isn't doing much.

Without a true low post threat there's not a chance in hell we could beat those two teams in a series ... hell, we can't even beat the Cavs in the regular season.

We beat the Magic, we get stomped by Cleveland. In either case, it would be a nice problem to have.

BTW, is anyone else sick of how deep the West is compared to the East? There are only a few really good teams in the East, yet the West is once again 10 deep. We beat the crap out of each other while the great teams in the East skate through the playoffs feasting on cake competition.

It's a problem that's 20 years old and is based on superior owners who hire better management.

It'd be like the 90 Finals against the Pistons (against the Cavs). The Magic, the Blazers would definately have a shot. However, the odds of an Orlando/Portland Finals from a marketing standpoint are approximately zero.

Yes, and it's probably going to be even worse next year. With a healthy Yao and Chris Paul, Houston and NOH will be in the mix for the playoffs. The Clippers, assuming Blake Griffin is healthy and they don't do anything stupid, could be there as well. The West could be a legitimate 12 deep next year as far as teams that could/should make the playoffs if the league were balanced out better. After Atlanta, I don't think there's another team in the East that would make the playoffs in the West.

The league is desperately calling for a reshuffling of the divisions/conferences now.

A complete overhaul that I propose is making the conferences North-South instead of East-West. Cut right across the middle.

Pretty scary. You have to wonder if the Warriors or Kings could get it together too with their projected high lotto picks. The Warriors might not because of horrible defense, but perhaps the Kings with a Landry/Tyreke/lotto pick. They may be a couple years away as well. The only team I can safely say will suck again in all likelihood is Minnesota.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ridiculous. :ohno:

Looks like the Hornets are going to move again too.

What a shame.

At least the Heat are on there.

RIP Harold Miner.

Good news guys,

Looks like a lot of cities and states are going to be erased leaving the door wide open for a championship.

Now for the bad new.

Oregon doesn't exist.

I don't like this realignment idea one bit.

I think the Here There Be Dragons team is going to be great, due to their market.

I kinda like this idea for realignment.

Isn't "There be Dragons" just Shakespearean speak for the Toronto Raptors?

Mirkwood fans are the WORST.

Arrive late, leave early, only show up when their winning...

yeah but playing in the State of the Art arena they built at Isengard would most def make it worth it.

I hear ya, but I had a friend who was at a Ered Mithrin game, and he said that all of the fans spent the entire game writing on their scrolls! Like anyone cares about your "Status Updates" when it's going to take three months for anyone to see it!
