Can we please put the Damian Lillard clutch narrative to rest?

So you don't believe that he wants to act or perform like a person getting paid $120mill does? What exactly are these standards? Be the best player on the teams? Check. Be involved with the community? Check. Live here in the offseason? Check. Don't be a fuck up, no fights, drag racing down broadway, police involvement, doing drugs? Check. Check. Check. Check. Check.

Or is star standards not missing shots after the rest of the team shit the bed?

Win? Red Alert Red Alert Red Alert

Michael Jordan also didn't win until he had another Hall of Famer next to him, other good teammates and one of the greatest coaches ever.

Clearly, Jordan didn't really live up to star standards until then.

Lillard had a bad game, due in part to the defense Matthews threw at him. He's not clutch? Let's face it, the higher the degree of desperation and the fewer the number of scoring options in clutch time a team has, the less clutch players become. The Blazers have been desperate a lot this year and they've got exactly two true scoring options to use at those times when you really need a 3.

Start Turner next to Dame and bring CJ off the bench
