<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Apr 3 2007, 05:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I love how people who live outside of the United States think that all Americans know nothing about other countriesLike you've lived in america lolit's called nationalism f*cking idiotthe reason there hasn't been a war on American soil in nearly 1 1/2 centuries is because this country's strong and will remain strong......suck it up you know it all foreigners</div>Well I would "quiz" you on some basics about other foreign countries, but thanks to the internet and google/wikipedia, etc. any yank can get the answer to any question, if they were so inclined. And judging from your defensive response, you seem like you'd be just so inclined to do exactly that, thus eliminating the point of said hypothetical "quiz" anyway. The internet is a powerful resource. And Brew City, fair enough. I assumed, and I can admit when I'm wrong. But I still stand by my statements of the ignorance and arrogance of the US as a whole. It's disgusting and convoluted. NO country is known for it's complete disrespect and defiance of anything OUTSIDE it's own nation, MORESO than the US, regardless of how proud the Canadians or the British are of their respective countries.

Americans actually do know quite a bit about the world, these surveys seem to find the most ignorant amonst us to put on TV. A few years ago I was downtown and some Aussies were doing a survey asking people basic questions about the US, they asked me the questions and after five questioned stopped because I was getting them right; instead they went to the guy picking trash out of a dumpster to ask him. He's not going to know what day of the week it is, let alone who the speaker of the house is. after that I lost all respect for these types of things, because it's obvious they filter the results. Most people who graduated from high school can answer the types of questions these surveys ask.as for not have been to other countries; I've been to the Mexico, Canada, Israel, Egypt, and Martinique. I lived in Canada for a few weeks on my cousins so called farm, I know six weeks on a dirt patch isn't going to give me a whole lot of insight but it did teach me the US is better than Canada. Here is also the way you can really tell weather one country is better than anyother, follow the direction of the Immigrants. few Americans are emigrating away, but there is a whole hell of a lot of people trying to immigrate here.

Which do you guys think is the better country?Canadians are smarter, live longer, drink better beer, and dont flop at world championships. Which is the best to live?Canada was ranked a better place to live in by every single organization that ranks these things. Better economy?US but its all goodBetter government? You know you would rather have anyone over Bush...Overall Winner: Canada

The Middle East? Germany Historically (you know they're just biding their time)? And the US is a better country because it matters outside the US. Canada doesn't. All you guys have is water. I'm a canadian citizen and have lived in canada a total of a few years, and it would suck to live their full time because there's just no edge there, no excitement. It's the same every day.

You get your health care very quickly, compared to the US. And the quality is great 2) French Canadians live in only the French Canadian area obviously :|, Quebec, the rest of Canada are normal, :HAHAHA: But yes, only Quebec is French Canadian.3) Canada wouldn't get into trouble with other countries because they don't mess around with a country like, off the top of my head, Iraq, for no reason except some oil. Canadians don't pick fights.4) Canada does have an army, but doesn't even need it because they haven't been attacked since colonization.5) Canadians don't even brag about anything unlike Americans where they say stupid stuff like "Our army can kick your army's ass", do dumb it down a bit. I mean, cmon.Canada > USAfor so many reasons you war loving Americans won't understand.

In many military operations that your people perform, you rely on the US to transport your military. As I said above, your military's capacity is very low, so it's pointless in talking about it. You wouldn't really have to worry about getting attacked, partly because you're highly isolated and your land is not exactly highly valuable, but also because America wouldn't allow others to encroach on an ally that shares a border with us.5) That's because there really isn't much to brag about when it comes to Canada. Try, I dare you.

Canada= coldUSA=warmUSA wins!honestly I cant point out why I think USA is better but I just do. I mean there are plenty of problems with this country but overall it is a good place to live. The laws system here is F*cked up beyond belief though, that alone will be why I leave here someday.

There are places in Canada that are hot all year round such as Victoria, because. Also Toronto is not any colder then New York or Chicago... It's actually feels hotter in Toronto then it would in a place like Las Vegas because of the humidty. I perfer the cold wheather because in the winter you can throw on a coat and your fine in the summer time your sweating like crazy no matter what you do. The only beef I got with Canada is to much immigration and we pretty much give them every advantage they can get.

Of course a canadian would think it dumb of an American to like America better. Just because one part of your country is hot doesn't make it a hot place. I bet if I made an igloo in antartica I'd be warm but it doesn't change the fact that its f*cking cold.

What he is trying to say is that not all of Canada is freezing temperatures. Much like America is not the same temperature around different parts. He was calling you dumb because of that.

I am a huge fan of Canada. True, most of it is boring. But there are some great places to see. Whats that? You want an example? Well, there is an AWESOME establishment in Niagra Falls called "The Sundowner". What is it you ask? Its a strip club. Not just A strip club. But THE BEST strip club that I have ever been to in my LIFE. Las Vegas has a pole-dancing competition every year and this place has the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th place dancers of 2005. True, 3 out of those 4 are from America, but the place is in Canada, so they get the credit. Seriously though. Health care is not better in Canada. If anything, its a tie. Its not free like everyone suggests. Nothing is free. It is a tax which ends up costing just as much yearly as most American health insurance companies. Canada is actually a very nice place to live. I lived there for approx a year and a half. And there actually are some very nice places to go visit when you have a chance. I would just rather live here. Its not like we are comparing America to Haiti here. These are two very comperable countries that ANYONE would be happy to live in. Americans ARE arrogant and cocky. But Kid Rock said it best when he said "You say im cocky. And I say whaaaat? It aint braggin motherf###er if you back it up". The one thing that I will say Canada wins in is that their women put out a lot easier than American women. Kudos!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Trail_Blazer @ Apr 3 2007, 10:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Absolutely agreed man. Most of those who are arguing with you, have probably never even been outside their country anyway, and tell me how someone can say "We're the best country in the world" when they've never lived in any of the other countries in the world? How blatantly ignorant is that? Nobody can claim their country as "the best" simply because they've never lived in all the other countries in the world! But see, you'll never get the arrogant/patriotic yanks to agree with the reality that another country is actually BETTER than their own, you're fighting a battle you can't win, because most of 'em can't see outside of the toilet in which they float.</div>I've been in about 15-20 countries (including Canada) in my lifetime and the US is by far the greatest

Well its exciting in places like Toronto I can see how you would say other places are boring but its more laid back then anything else.`

Of course the summer temps in Southern Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta can reach 100+ degrees.

Who really cares, it's so close it doesn't even matter. Canada has been proven to have better quality of life, higher life expectancy, the weather isn't as bad as people make it out to be, the rest is pretty much the same. Maybe US wins in terms of military power but war hasn't done anything but lose a lot of lives. And if Canada is ever in a tie, we can just get the US to help out. No biggie. What's there to argue about?

War, as bad as it is, is necessary sometimes.

If no one fought, there would be no need for talking of our future being different. Not just talking about 1 side. Man dominates man to his injury

one thing I like about Canada is people are genuinely nice there, and a lot less self centered. This is, of course, a generalization, but on average Canadians are a lot more civil.
