Canadian Snipers.... what's their tag line. "You picked the wrong day to be sorry, eh?"

Incredible, that is over 2 miles!!
I didn't know a bullet could go 2 miles...damn

or until they hit something like space junk or a planetIn outer space they'll go forever.
They need to practice lobbing them at this bitch. That diagram really puts it in perspective. I was gonna post it if nobody else did. Just crazy. At two miles you're basically lobbing a bullet.
The military M16 fires the 5.56 mm bullet on the left. It is not a long range round, and makes a small hole. I do not like this bullet our military uses.
The 50 mm bullet on the right is the size that was used to make the record breaking shot. It has a much longer range, and makes a much bigger hole. I love this bullet.

I bet it hurt upon impact.
Yeah, the 5.56 is for using up a lot of them. I kind of prefer one and done. The .50 is too damn big without wheels, tracks, or a boat under it. The .338 will do, it's good for 2000 yards, although I have never tried to use it beyond 1000. I sold my, soon after the last time the scope bashed my eyebrow. The same scope doesn't work right with both 200gr and 300gr rounds. Yeah it was a .300 that got me.
It put an elk and a deer in my freezer last fall.
