I don't know what an INRATE is but yeah I was also happy with the reception he received. I mean I understand about it being a business but to say the Yankees disrespected him by only offering him 7 years & 175 million was a joke. Hell, I wish someone would disrespect me that bad.

..."I'm your huckleberry". :devilwink:

He's a marble brained idiot. Complete with the Big Papi imitation facial hair.

Yeah but on a triple shot of espresso....it seems like you're out a grounder on full speed.

Only to live and die now in obscurity for the next 10 years, in gloomy dead Seattle.

Long live the Seattle Pilots...they had the right idea, bankruptcy...!!!

Robbie screwed up his future big time, by making a rash bad decision to sign elsewhere, did Boras get to Robbie too???

BTW-guys, when the Red M-ange-ls, were in NY, I was told, de boyz, were inviting Sciosca to a party/meeting in the Hamptons, complete with a fishing trip....I was told, Mike would be eating with the fishes, and I'd not have to see his fugly mug again in L.A. What happened...??

hypocrites the yankee fans are...its ok for other teams stars to come to the Yankees for more money but if one of their own goes for more money they are a sell out.

Al do the math, the Yankees offered more money then the Mariners did.

...and those players are also booed when they return home.

Seattle offered more over the life of the contract.

Yankees offered 25M per year. The Mariners offered 24M per year.

Seattle offered more years, not a higher yearly salary.

...so you think giving Cano 10 years was a smart move?...and one the Yanx should have made?...he'll be forty fucking two at the end of that contract.

Where did I say it was a smart move? He did get more money and all of those clowns booing him would take the same offer.

More years ...and overall more money. 10th year he still gets his money.

As I mentioned earlier Al, I really think the booing was from his claiming the Yankees disrespected him. 7 years at 25M is far from disrespecting. I think he'll still get the 300 average but power wise & with no protection in the line up I think he'll be lucky if he hits 20 HRs with MAYBE 80-90 RBI.

I admit, I respected Robin Yount a helluva lot more, for YES-taking less money to finish his career in Milwaukee. Change of position from SS to CF. Still a MVP in 82 and 89.

They just don't make players, men, like Yount these days. His Loyalty to his original Fans was of Epic Proportions. Robin could of easily taken more money, opting to play for his (new) Hometown Fans. Yount's true Hometown was always Southern Cal.

Hats off to Yount.

...yup, there are quite a few players who took less money to stay where they were.

...I'm so tired of this same ole lame justification...there are ways to escape the NY tax issue and Cano didn't have to go to Washinton to do it...ask Jeter.

Jeter got banged by the state.
Yount....fine. ..ill give you once in a blue moon it happens...very rare that it happens in a major market

...really?...how's that?

...he's living in the largest house in Tampa.

...and you never answered the earlier question; How many names will it take until you admit you're wrong?...You can start with Bernie, Tulo, and Trout just for openers.

This is just unbelievable, we're a month into the season & Jeter is done after only 92 ABs. You genius's do know that one 3 hit game at this point of the season can raise his average 20 points right? apparently not. Well if Jeter is done I guess other guys like Matt Kemp, Pablo Sandoval, Mark Trumbo, Buster Posey, David Ortiz & Prince Fielder just to name a few should also retire since they're batting the same or far worse then Jeter is.

I said at the beginning of the season that if Jeter finished the season (Final season) hitting in the 250s since he's had very few seasons of batting that low (oh wait that would be....NEVER) that at 40 years old I'd be okay with that. Please, just give it 250 plus at bats or at least to the midway point of the season before you start calling for someone's head.

Again, at this point of the season, a 250 hitter today could be a 270 hitter tomorrow.

...yup, I also brought this up last week...using one month's worth of numbers as a true barometer is laughable.

"I can't believe they pay me to play this game".....Willie 'Say Hey' Mays.
