I have numerous people on video reporting that Darren was told by Chip that he had no promises of a starting position in the next years team and this is why Darren went to the NFL. The problem is that I don't have the time to go through 4 TB's of video to find the 3-4 people who reported it right now but I will when I actually have the time which can be with in the next few weeks or so.

Of course he had no promises of retaining the starting spot, no Duck starter under Chip or Helfrich ever has been made such a promise. You've got to realize how completely different this is then what you first claimed... right??? If you can provide the quotes you claimed that... "Both Darren and Chip stated that Chip basically called Darren into his office and let him know that he was going to make Mariota the starting QB the following year", do it, because that would be big news. Otherwise, relaying that Chip was remaining true to his long stated policy of open competition for every spot including QB isn't news as it's exactly whats been repeatedly stated by me and others.

Further, I'm sure that when you wade through your 4 TB's of video & confirm this, you'll find that you've no quote from Kelly or Thomas saying this lack of a completely unusual promise of remaining a starter is what led DT to declare. Rather, that will be the guess of the Jason Quick's of the world attempting to connect the dots so that they have something to "report".

Just trying to help you out but did you know that the world isn't flat? Trust me, this is true; the world is more round than flat.

I already have Chip Kelly AND Darron Thomas both saying that he (Mariota) was better than him and they knew it when he walked in the door. Now you are trying to say that I have zero basis for Chip telling Darron that he didn't have a grantee to start the next season; especially when it turns out that the guys that was right behind Thomas was the future Heisman winner, the guy that Chip stated that he knew would win the Heisman.

I actually have several people on video stating that this even took place and when the time is right, im going to unload it on you. Then the funny part is that you are going to find ways to argue in why you won't pay me the money you promised.

You do realize that both Bennett and Mariota were better than Darren Thomas; correct?

Why would a coach embarass a player when he knows that he has two quarterbacks in his system that are better than DT? The question is; why WOULDNT Kelly tell DT that he has no qurantee to start the following year when he's a senior.

Mariota was far better than Thomas no doubt, but I contend that Bennett should have a been a SAM linebacker and DT had way better pocket and passing ability than Brian. When DT decided to run all be it quite apprehensively, he did good things.

Mariota is and will be almost impossible to compare anyone to hence forth! A great problem we will always have!

Dion Jordan had to earn it just like Ifo, like LaMichael, like Clay, Matthews & Hronis... every single season even the greats had to win that honor...& Mariota had to as well.
