Canzano weighs in on the point guard position

What bothers me is the way Canzano came to his conclusion. The way I read it, he thinks about Bayless and Sergio and decides on Bayless based on 10 minutes of working out after practice . . . apparently because this shows Bayless' commitment to the game or something like that???

So what if Canzano missed that 10 minutes and instead saw Sergio working all off season, would he then lean towrds Sergio? Is he really basing his decision of who is the better point guard based on who works harder?

Are we talking practice . . .after practice?

I like Bayless and what he brings to the team, but, IMO, Sergio is the better PG. I may be wrong, but at least I didn't make my decision over watching Bayless shoot for 10 minutes.

I am just wondering why so many folks think we have to choose between Sergio and Bayless. I personally think Blake is the odd man out. His contract isn't long term. His upside is negligible.

I agree, this has always been the plan, but Blake has possibly played well enough to complicate the decision.

If a guard is traded this season it ill be Blake for sure, as there's no way KP is ready to give up on Sergio OR Bayless.

My guess is no guards are traded this year.

Agreed. The obvious guard pairings are Bayless-Roy starting, Sergio-Rudy off the bench. Once Nate finally makes that switch permanent, then I think we'll be good to grow.

I agree with the obvious pairings, but Bayless/Roy is destined to be a rocky, mistake-filled ride for awhile and Roy is at about 70% right now so a smart coach looking for wins might not agree with you which duo gets the starting spot.

Sergio/Rudy would probably be the safer way to go, and much better for Greg and LaMarcus.

After reading the "article", I want my 2 minutes back.

On Monday against Milwaukee, Bayless had seven points and one assist in 14 minutes. He also slapped hands and bumped chests with annoyed Bucks' guard Luke Ridnour. Bayless was called for four fouls, and on some possessions seemed more interested in besting Ridnour one-on-one than with running the offense.

His only factual point stated directly rebuts the view of his article. What a moron, as we already knew.

He gives no reason, none at all, for even playing Bayless let alone promoting him.

One thing is clear, he understands nothing at all about either player, KP, or baking a team.
