Neil has a plan and it looks to include more cap space. Who is he after? Can we get to a point where we have enough for LA and another max player? I bet he wants Hibbert. Or is there a SF he is looking at.

He could draft a SF or re-sign Wes and play him there. Wes maybe shorter than Nic but he is a lot stronger.

I don't know, but people need to chill. Neil has been building towards this summer since he first signed on. The guy has a plan. That much is clear. We just need to sit back and let him work. If by the end of the summer we aren't in a better position than we were, then we can start the lynch mob.

Ha! We are not going to sit back. Tomorrow is draft day. Things are just getting exciting. I agree he has a plan and we will know what it is in about a week. We have a lot of options right now. A shit load of cap space. I think this helps us with LMA.

He didn't clear that much cap space.

$8.5M in, $11.8M out. $3.3M cap space freed up.

That is almost enough to make the difference between going over the apron or not.

In One scenario, he can sign Wes and LMA to huge contracts and bring back Aflallo for 120% (or whatever it is) of last year's salary. Aflallo might not get a better offer.

Or something like the 23 for two 2nd rounders with Philly, sending Henderson's $6M for nothing or $6M in cap space or TPE.

I would keep Henderson and let Affalo go. I think we are in a good spot to get a good FA to go with LMA and then go over the cap for a year to sign Wes or Rolo. PA won't mind doing that for a year if it is possible under the rules.

You can't sign FAs then go over the cap to sign your own. They are cap holds.

Our starting SF is Allen Crabbe.

We need an SF.

Jimmy Butler

I thought I heard yesterday that Rudy Gay might be available and Kings I think might want capspace, anyone think we could trade for Rudy and would you want to?

God please no

You need cap space or salaries to ballast a deal.

Would you renounce Lopez, Wes, and/or Afflalo? I think it takes two of those to get you the cap space.

Hmm I think a starting unit of Dame, Wes, Gay, Rolo, and LMA just might work

II think Gay is due 12.4 next year. Afflalo will be renounced if we keep Henderson. Or maybe we trade Henderson and Kaman for Gay.

Do you think this is the kind of deal that Sacramento wants?

I think the play is for a big man. Jordan/Gasol/Hibbert, etc.

I think Nic makes 12.8 mil next season, do not resign Afflalo.

I think we are going after Hibbert for 13 mil per

That was my first thought too. Hibbert's hates it in Indiana and wants out. He is no longer a max player. He could platoon with Leonard depending on the match up.

Monta Ellis opted out. You want a SG?

He hasn't done either yet. I would much rather trade for him. I don't see how we can though
Why would you rather give up assets for him instead of getting him for free?

Well Mags maybe Vonleh he goes to Indy (where he played in college) in a Hibbert trade if Hibbert opts in, or if he opts out and we do a sign and trade with the Pacers? and use our capspace and they get some cap relief

That's what I'm hoping for. Pacers don't need Batum because they have a stud SF already. Just grab who we need from the player we are willing to part with

I'm hoping the assets are what we just acquired and maybe our pick. That way we can resign the team
I don't think we'll go over the cap by resigning guys via bird rights. We'd have no starting or backup SF.
