Big game tonight fellas (well as big as an NHL game can be in late December...:)).

If we win we'll be tied in the standings, but have 2 games in hand to go 4 points up. A really good spot to be in. Plus we'd take a nice 7 game win streak into the Christmas break, and have the Devs at home Saturday night, which should provide a great chance to make it 8 straight W's.

On the flip side if we lose we'll be 4 points behind the Caps. Now we'd still have 2 games in hand to tie things up, so not the end of the world, but we wouldn't feel as good about things as we head into the break off an L.

We need to play better than we did on Sunday night IMO, the Caps are really playing well now so it won't be an easy game. I am excited for tonight. Should be a great game at MSG.

Caps are also hot. Players to watch are a revitalized
Backstrom, of course Mighty 8 Ovechkin, D Mike Green,
G Braden Holtby and a very good supporting cast.
They play a much tighter game under new coach
Trotz. They will be tough to be beat.

Ranger youth need to step up tonight.

We should have an edge being home and back to back for them. We'll see...

CK, Zucc and Hags need to step it up and contribute, Glass needs to punch someone and get thrown out of the game. Hank needs to be focused from the drop of the puck and not give up any soft garbage goals. Nash alone makes this team exciting to watch.

Zucc now has 7 points in his last 7 games...he has stepped it up already...and that's big for us.

Solid period obviously, but late PP and we don't even sniff a chance, and never even get setup really...hope that doesn't give the Caps mo in the 2nd. Caps are also 26th on the PK...and nothing. Need a better PP. Only thing not clicking right now.

Boyle continues sucking. So far the Boyle signing by Sather looks pretty bad.

There's the PPG we needed...great pass by Boyle. There you go fella. Big goal.

I obviously don't watch too many caps games but I am not sure how the caps are any different from years past. Sam and Joe keep telling us that they play a different style. To me, it looks exactly the same way they've played for the last few years.

Soft goal allowed by Hank has given the Caps some mo back. Then a terrible shift by Hunwick where he made a sloppy TO in his own zone and then took a penalty. Now we tempt fate again with a Caps PP. Darn.

Keep playing 'Give-a-way Glass'.....what a waste.
Get him off the ice.

U R right...it was Hunwick. Glass was not too far
behind. lol

F*ck. You give this PP that many chances and they score period.

That was not about Glass bro, 100% about Hunwick.

Now we have a game.

This is some period. Thank god Holtby let up a soft goal by Nash. Let's go...

4.minutes coming up....horrible 3rd period being outplayed by a team that played last night

LOL...I said the same thing. VERY stupid...just drop back.

And that will be a hat trick for Nash. The man is a BEAST this season.

Never easy...post on a wide open net, now a PP Caps which means 6 on 4.

Stepan has been great. He has become that # 1 C we needed. 65/70 point guy. Still needs to show this over a full season, but so far he has taken that next step this season. And Brass is a real # 2 also.

Great win tonight. Sluggish to start the 3rd for sure, but outside of that really a strong game.

Nash is a beast.
Stepan is playing like a true # 1.
Brass is playing like a true # 2.
7 straight W's. 8 after we beat the awful Devs Saturday night.

Team is rolling. All along I felt this was a very good team, and they are. Not dominant or the best, but very good, and with the right player at the trade DL we can win a cup this season.

Three more to go before 2015. It would nice to end 2014 with a ten game win streak.
