So I wanna spend around $15,000 to $20,000. I've narrowed it down to Mid-to late '00's Acura TL, Infiniti G35 and Lexus IS300. I've found a couple real nice IS300's that I like and I'm leaning towards the IS300 because its a Toyota and pretty sharp. I like the looks of the G35's but I'm not sure how dependable they are and I've heard they're a bitch to fix. I really like the TL's, but I'm not sure if I want another Honda.

Anybody own any of these or know anything about them?

Go with the Lexus. To me, the G35s are bought by a lot of dorky dudes. The TL...kind of boring. I like Hondas though...but the Lexus is the best option. I have 2 friends with them and they're really happy with them....always have the best customer satisfaction.

Zags, come on man! Come to the German Car side....... you won't regret it FAMS!

I got a buddy with an Audi. He complains about how expensive they are to fix. I am a huge fan of them though.

get the new body style, those look like little ricer cars.

me and my boys used to cruise broadway back in the day. :MARIS61:

I don't know, I just can't take Hyundai, Kia or Daewoo or any of those types seriously no matter how hard they try.

I like GTI's. But, they I'd feel like I was in high school or something. I'm really sold on the iS 300 or 350.

Yes my Audi is expensive to fix, but I fucking love it. Solid, handles. To each his own...... hope you get what you want and enjoy it......but don't you dare pull up next to me and my V8! I will smoke the fuck out of one of those little rice rockets! Post some pics of what these things look like and I'll give you an honest opinion.

The german vehicles may be ultra nice rides, but they are over engineered to death and very costly to own.

The Lexus is nearly a perfect vehicle with a blend of everything one would want in a car.

The union guy wants to buy a foreign car. Way to go. The GM union workers would be proud.

If they're Japanese cars built in America, they're being built with non-union labor. You really want to be a scab?

I've always been an European car guy. Hell, my first car was a silver 1979 Audi 5000. I bet that thing is still on the road.

Do you have a good mechanic for your Audi? I owned Audis as my primary vehicle from the time I had my license until a couple of years ago and there are really only two shops worth considering in the metro area. Heck, even the car I have for my mom to drive here in CO is an Audi.

Damn. Your car knowledge is about as low as your hoops knowledge. No self-respecting man would buy an Audi over a BMW.

Buying a brand new car was one of the better decisions I've made. It was a Nissan nothing real fancy but its nice having $0 repairs almost no maintenance and ability to pit dealers against each other in a price war for the identical item. You can't do that kind of comparison shopping with used cars. If you can get access to those big used dealer auctions I'd be interested in buying a used car but otherwise dealers and private party markups are so high on craigslist its not really any cheaper than buying new.

I was cool just watching this plea for attention, but to say a BMW is in any way a better car...I have owned many of both, I would much rather keep an Audi or a Volvo on the road....Bmws enjoy repair shops

In all my years of owning cars... The only one that I had and bought a newer model to replace was a 1972 VW Bus I replaced with a 1984 VW Vanagon.

Otherwise, I haven't had a car or vehicle I loved so much that I wanted a newer version of the same thing.

Is this true for anyone else?
