bench 67min: 4-10, 9pts, 6 reb, 4 ast, 11 PF
Not to mention 11-17 shooting, that's very impressive for a rookie PG. He would've had 30 if he stuck those 2 free throws to start the 2nd half.
PGOTF.... fuck that, of the NOW
EDIT: I'm really, really seeing a Terry Porter vibe in this kid. Not afraid to shoot the rock, solid floor general.
The 28/4/8 is great. Those are All-Star numbers for sure, but the truly eye-popping numbers are -
0 TO's, 0 Fouls, 11-17 FG in 37 minutes
That's just absurd. That'd even be absurd for a six year, established All-Star vet, much less a rookie in his first 1/4th of the season.
Allen should pay to have Payton sit ...
on the bench, if not as an assistant then wearing Nolan's jersey.
I know I'm getting ahead of things, but the ceiling is higher than TP. Much higher.

Only 13 players since 85 have done the 28/8/0 TO/0 PF. It's a pretty good list.

Joe Freeman @BlazerFreeman Through 12 games, Lillard is averaging 20.2 pts, 6.0 assts and 3.0 rebs per game, while shooting 47.3% from field (40.5% from 3-pt range).
I would love to see Payton on our coaching staff.
15% of the season down... Consistency seems to be pretty damn decent.
