Do you guys use any wheel locks to help prevent wheel/tire theft?
The only time I ever used them was when I bought an old Subaru that had them. Didn't know it until I got a flat and didn't have the lug key. That was a giant pain in the ass.

I want to test drive this>>>

I was at the Toyota Dealership getting my license plate put in (I had stripped the screws). Their electric car was there, they had you do a credit check in order to test drive. They only had one in stock and it had a $10k markup. Range was only 240 miles or so though.

How the hell did you do that?

Also, what did you get on your vanity plate?

I'm not a handyman kinda guy, more of a computer guy.

I heard the vanity plates are backed up a year+. I kind of want YG2MYFT, but the plate I got is pretty good: #BFE### (#s are of course the numbers). I like the Butt Fuck Egypt component of my plate hah

I've already had a couple people offer to buy my new (to me) car. I have been working on cleaning it up and getting it in top driving shape. Rear differential, starter, blower motor, front brakes all replaced. Rear shocks are next along with some other cosmetic details.

All that considered, with gas prices, I'd probably sell it if I could make enough money to be break even on a GD moped.

May upgrade the stereo in the car. Sounds kinda whatever. Not right now, but in a few months perhaps.

May go with some components in the door and dash, a 5 channel amp and a 10" subwoofer in the trunk in a sealed box.

Sounds like a car thief magnet to me...sort of like an expensive watch on vacation...that's what they're looking for...stereo gear!

Once I get all the required repairs and upgrades finished, I think I'm going to get a new racing steering wheel.

The "Inflation Reduction Act" is giving out $7500 tax credits for electric cars....looks like they are removing the 200k sales threshold so TESLAs will qualify again.

Under the Inflation Reduction Act — which received Senate approval on Sunday and is expected to clear the House this week — a tax credit worth up to $7,500 for buyers of new all-electric cars and hybrid plug-ins would be extended through 2032. The bill would also create a separate tax credit worth a maximum $4,000 for used versions of these vehicles.

Yet the measure also would usher in new limits to both who can qualify for the credit and which vehicles are eligible for it.

The tax credit has ‘price and income restrictions’
“First, in order to qualify, there are price and income restrictions,” said Seth Goldstein, a senior equity analyst at Morningstar.

For new vehicles, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for sedans would need to be below $55,000 to be eligible for the tax credit. For SUVs, trucks and vans, that price cap would be $80,000.

Additionally, the credit would be unavailable to single tax filers with modified adjusted gross income above $150,000. For married couples filing jointly, that income limit would be $300,000, and for individuals who file as head of household, $225,000.

Going to upgrade my ride soon. Looking for another beamer. E46 wagon is my preference but the X1 or X3 is what my fiance prefers I have. Not mad about that. Will probably garage my e36 and turn it into a drifter.
