Carter and Williams to Clippers for Maggette and Livingston?

I don't see how this trade would improve us. Livingston isn't playing that much better than Williams, and I'm not so sure his ceiling is as high as it was projected to be. Maggette is a good player, but not close to Carter's level.

Clippers-Nets Trade Talks About Carter Ends

I hate this trade. Williams is already better than Livingston and Maggette can't shoot.

This trade doesn't include a big man, so I don't see why NJ would even bother getting involved. From the Clippers perspective, it would be hard to justify passing up on Iverson and then turning around and dealing for Vince. The entire time the Clippers refused to part with Livingston in order to land Iverson, so it's hard to imagine they've changed their minds in a matter of weeks.

This trade doesn't make sense for either team. The Clippers are starting to win again and Maggette talks have died down. He's getting his minutes and he's been productive.

Any move the Nets make has to bring them back a big man. They should do all they can to land Pau Gasol, Zach Randolph, or Ron Artest.
