Don't know if anyone saw this article on ESPN last night, but the article had the following in it...

"I'm not comfortable talking to Alex about this because we feel we are in a litigious environment," Cashman said during an impromptu half-hour chat with the media before Sunday night's game between the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. "Hello and goodbye, that's about it. I'm not comfortable talking to him anymore. I don't want to be distorted."

Personally, I can't say I blame him... That being said, I feel he, 1 shouldn't have made that public and 2 should feel confident enough in his position that he knows he won't be distorted...

the entire article is here: http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/9579922/new-york-yankees-gm-not-comfortable-talking-alex-rodriguez

Cashman has been busy all season fighting a war of words through the media rather than doing his job. He's an amateur, even after all of these years. In the George days this would have all been taken care of in Tampa and if either camp faltered or made a public stink they would have been taken care of in some sort of drastic measure. This organization has become so bush league.

I wonder what George would have done...
