Cats will eat you if you die pretty quickly. Dogs are more loyal and will hold out longer.

Thats an easy decision for me which one I like more.

Pffft. Just because Dogs are too stupid to have survival instincts… Cats are smart enough to know all things die and give back to the earth and all still living. To let the owner die and rot could be considered an insult in the animal world. What better last gift an owner can give than to continue to provide nourishment even after passing?
Only a cat would be smart enough to understand this.

A dog?

I have a new addition to the household. About a month ago, an older woman who lives just out of town brought me a kitten she couldn't take care of. It's a dark gray tabby with black swirls.

It's one of the boldest cats I've had. It was leaving its isolation/adjustment room after a couple of days and quickly made friends with the oldest cat. Then it made friends with the 3-year-old male and they play together. Finally, it's making friends with the 3-year-old male's sister, although she's a harder sell with any new family members.

Still waiting for this gigantic stray male tabby that's been around since February to take the final leap and come into the house fulltime. He's there waiting at the door every day to be fed and comes back at least every evening to be fed again. He's been in the house a few times but still is skittish about being too close to me. But he stretched out toward me two days ago and meowed yesterday. Usually he hisses at me as I give him his food. He gets along OK with the other cats. He even shares his food with the oldest.

Undoubtedly!
Never had this problem before though. Could always click on the play button and it would play without opening to a new screen. Now the only thing i can do is open up the app from the post, but then I have to install it. And i will not do that. I spend too much time online as it is. 😂

There are loads of feral cats in the community where I live. I have referred to the three siblings I have been feeding.

Normally feed them on early morning walk but my schedule is off due to Thanksgiving. Yesterday I fed them when on the way to the store for my turkey and some security dude ordered me not to feed stray cats. I tried to explain they are my cats, they have names, come when I call. He wasn't interested in listening. I got a strong "I have a dick so shut up and do what I order" vibe. He demanded I remove the food I had set out. I picked up some but left the rest.

There are three solutions to feral cats. Round them up and kill them, set up communal feeding stations, or get residents to adopt and take responsibility for specific cats. Which is what I did. I am not going to betray my friends by letting them go hungry.

Fed them today at 5:30 AM. Put food far back from curb so it can't be seen by passers by. Callista and Io looked puzzled at food in wrong place but then started eating.

There is a 4th option here in the Portland area, you should see if there is something similar by you.

How do I get the cats to Multnomah County?

My understanding is that since they are homeless, they should naturally find their way to Portland.
