Q: You've pretty much never had what people would consider "reasonable" or "moderate" expectations for yourself. You've come out and talked about wanting to be a All-Star, be one of the best players in the league. Is that something that comes from inside you, or have there been things that have pushed you?

A: I think it's always been internal. I always had high expectations for myself. If I go to a baseball field, if I'm playing with Major League Baseball players, I expect to play well. It comes from my family, too. They always made me believe it. Anytime I was playing basketball or football, they were telling me I belong out there. I started to take that attitude out there. Why not be an All-Star? I believe it can happen. As long as I believe it, it doesn't matter what anyone else says.

Every RoY gets mad publicity before the start of next season, especially when that player had as good of a season as Lillard.

I'm just surprised the media even knows where the west coast is located on the map, that's all.

They know where the West Coast is, they just have trouble finding Portland. To them, it's flyover country between SF and Seattle.

I think they give us more respect than that. It's also a place to land if your plane is having problems.

If you drew a map of what the country looked like in the eyes of the media, there would only be two states listed, scratch that... three cities listed. I'm sure you can guess what they are.

Every time some stupid commentator says that the Blazers don't get a lot of attention because they are on Pacific Coast Time, I want to shout, "So are the Lakers, you moron!!"
