Not super pocket friendly.

Are belt pouches accecptable now that everyone has pda's/qwerty phones?

I would'nt be caught dead with a Murse. It actually fits nicely in jean pockets. Non jean pants pockets do not work so well.

Interesting - I would have said the opposite (about my pockets). Apparently our pants don't fit the same way.

As bad as cell phone pouches and holsters are, I think putting your phone in your front pocket close to your junk is a worse idea. I tend to carry my phone in my hand or put it in the cup holder in the car. If you don't have a coat or sweater pocket to put it in, try and wear pants that have pockets on the side of the leg, like carpenter style jeans, IMHO.
