For Lefty Justin Wilson. I thought they could do better than that no? Guess Murphy is now the backup.

I think letting go of Cervelli was a Big Mistake for NY, a good move by Pittsburg, since it looks like Martin is holding out for bigger bucks. The Yanks may of made another Big Mistake, and this may be one feather pulled from Cashaman's hat, which numerous Sports Rags, are reporting the demise of the Yankee Empire.

Tho' a BS article, the Yanks will always come back from diversity, which may take a few years to develop. I for one do not like this trade, unless Justin Wilson turns out to be a Wonder Boy delight. I hope its for the better, and will draw a conclusion a couple of months into the season. Giving Wilson the time to prove himself, for better or worse.

...a backup catcher for an erratic LHed reliever...meh.

...in some ways, a wash...but then again, Cervelli is arby eligible.

...at first, I thought they were talking about this Justin Wilson;

Saw Neil Huntington being interviewed on MLB and in mentioning forward moves for the Pirates he did mention hopefully retaining Martin but I think the Cubs will pony up more dust.

OMG Ron that's hilarious. When I was looking up Wilson myself the old cooking show guy was the first one to pop up. I remember his show where he would just tell old stories and jokes while cooking up lord knows what. I guarantee. I feel the same way about move. It's like whatever.

...yeah, used to love his stories...I think my fav was him talking about a restaurant he went to that specialized in fried chicken...he said when the waitress brought his order to the table "Dat bird didn't look quite did to me"..."to make sure I took my fork and lifted up the wing and blood started running out !"... "so I picked dat bird up and threw him into the air, and said "fly, damn you, fly, cuz you ain't hurt dat bad !""

^^^^was this community programming in Arkansas?

Sad to see Ciscokid go, the Lil' fist pump, our pisan. As a starter in the NL the kid is gonna rake.

Per Harold Reynolds on Hot Stove this AM a great deal for the Yankees. I will not comment on Harold Reynolds I'd be banned from the board. It was also mentioned that Cervellis game should improve because he'll get playing time in Pittsburgh he'd not see in New York.

Unless you out Harold from the closet, not much chance of being banned....we're all Klan, I mean family here, lol!

LOL, you know when I saw the post, I also thought of that Great Cajun/Creole Cook, used to watch his TV show. Loved him to death, and bought several of his Cook Books; including the book shown in your thread 59. Jus-tan Wilson, Whoooeee. Followed by a drink of Brandy, or Wine.....Jus-tan was a Icon.

I enjoyed Paul Prudhomme's Nawlins Restaurants, Chez Paul. Emeril Lagasse's 2 restaurants in Nawlins, one in the Warehouse District another downtown. Emeril's restaurants were as good as any Cajun/Creole food.

I never cared for Emerils show and that damned "Bam".....1st time I ever saw a Lagasse Show, I had just had my RH shoulder operated on as it was not only broke but also tore the cuff, for the 3rd time. I had a flipping migraine from hell, just days after surgery, while my Son had Lagasses show on TV. I heard that "Bam" and had to leave the room....it would take a good year to warm up to Lagasse's cook books or show.

Altho' the very best Cajun/Creole Restaurant was ran and owned by Paul Prudhomme's Sister, just 10-15 minutes north of I-10 and Lafayette....By far superior to any Nawlins eatery.....Pecan Pralines, Pecan-Sweet Potato Pie, Etouffe, Tasso, Boudin, Pistolettes (stuffed with crawfish etouffe), KIng Cakes, Andouille Gumbo, File Gumbo, any and all Jambalaya's, Crawfish boils too, and Wild Catfish too.

In Luzianna, I ballooned up to 254 lbs, a 44 inch waist. Only 2 years later (upon moving back to So. Cal), I'd dropped my weight down to 180 lbs, and a 36 inch waist. That darn Southern Food about killed me, and left me with sludge in the arteries. 74 lbs lost, all due to over eating; not only southern home cooking, but Cajun/Creole too.

Yep, the Grand Poobah Wizard.....I enjoyed watching Reynolds as 2nd bagger for the M's, but can't tolerate his TV sportscaster.....another p-r-k. Where do you suggest I place that burning cross.? (for a BBQ of course)...

I guess signing Cervelli sends Martin a strong message....!

Along with the Cubs the Dodgers are clamoring for Martins services as well, that guy has climbed the totem pole since he left the Yankees but I'll take McCann any day.

Speaking of Cajuns: Diggy Diggy Li and Diggy Diggy Lo, Fell in love at the Fais Do Do,
The pop was cold and the coffee chaud, Diggy Diggy Li and Diggy Diggy Lo

I met this woman who went out to Baton Rouge and told me she was made an "honorary Cajun, I asked her if she danced barefoot to Jole Blon in 6/8 time. She then said "What is Jole Blon. I then told her that Jole Blon was for all practical purposes the Cajun National Anthem and somehow I doubted her story.

 LMAO Yank-Fan......diggy diggy Li and Diggy Diggy Lo....

i haven't heard that foot tamping keeping time with all those Cajun Zydeco Bands, since I was a kid.....

My paternal GrandPa was a pure blood Canuck. When I was working in Luzianna, all them there Cajuns, kept calling me their couzan. I kept telling them, damn it, I am not Acadian. When the French-Indian Wars raged, my forefathers dug into Quebec, and Did Not flee, with them Acadianna Cajuns, thus call me a fkn Canuck, a big difference b/t Canuck and Cajun IMO...

However a Cajun Buddy took me to Church Point, LA, near Oupelousas, and said, make sure you tell the butcher your Canuck last name, (and no one spoke English in that small town), or He the butcher will not sale you shit, if he thinks your an Anglican....WTF....? Yet, I did, had to, to get those fine smoked delicacies.....

Diggy Diggy Li and Diggy Diggy Diggy Lo...

On the other hand a Cajun/Creole moved to So. Cal. From Southern Luzianna, name of Gonzalez, he looked nothing like a Mexican, only a Spaniard. He comes to me all pissed off at work, and I see he's pissed, and ask him, Jimmy WTF is the matter. Jimmy say, these gd damned vato beaners think I am one of their chollos, and I told them I am a Spaniard damn it, I am not one of your Taco buddies, so fk off..... Sad but true....

Well, I've said it before - now's a good time to say once more.

Cervelli is one of the better offensive catchers in MLB and is one of the very best backup catchers.

It's all about him avoiding injuries.
If he can put together a couple of seasons with 250-300 ABs, he's a "star" backup catcher. lol

Unfortunately he'll always have the PED label hanging over his head.

I enjoyed his show.

Nah he and the others got conned. ARod and Braun were pawns to make it seem legit. Stop hating on the kid. Looks like he can catch for Footer again.
