I've been the biggest Channing Fyre doubter in the world, ever since he was drafted...lol you guys remember how pissed I was at draft day?
Well, regardless of this "slump" He's better than most rookies..and I'm impressed...by his confidence.
Lets look at what he can give this team.
-Open mid range shots
-Quicker than most big men
-agile for his size
-Shows some post moves
-Can score very quickly
-Shows potential to becoming a good rebounding
Lets check out what he can work on to become a great great player some day
-getting more physical in the post
-relying on his post game more than his jumpshot, he needs a 2nd weapon besides his shooting
-Has the body to be a great help defender, so he should utilize his quickness and body into blocking shots and contesting shots. Not giving up on defense and fouling the guy.
-Can become a better rebounder
Marbury/Fyre has been perfect for each other, because they're good half court players.
So this is why Fyre has looked lost, he can't create his own shot without Marbury creating it for him, so its difficult.
But Isiah proved me wrong, Channing Fyre isn't a bust at all.
But I just hope someday, he gets to a Pau Gasol level (his full potential in my opinion) cause we need something like that.
Badly.
