He just said that Steph Curry is the best offensive player in the world but Kawhi Leonard is the best two way player in the world today. You guys agree?

Barkley has been all over Kawhi's nuts for awhile now. I think he's really good, and maybe the best wing defender, but I think he's become overrated.

Kawhi has been more accurate from threes than Steph. He's the best defender in the game. The Spurs have the highest point differential in the NBA.

Kawhi's played better than many years MVP's.

Or do you all think they dominate because of Aldridge?

Steph takes over twice as many threes on like 2% less accuracy. Warriors have the most wins in the league and a tougher SOS than San Antonio.

I don't give a shit if Kawhi is the best defender in the galaxy his defensive impact does not > Steph's offensive impact.

Well if we're talking about the best two way player Kawhi's defensive impact certainly matters. He's an elite offensive player as well. That's historically rare; I can't remember ever having a DPOY favorite having this much offensive impact; being second in NBA 3pt % and scoring 20ppg.

Steph is having a superior overall season; possibly the best season in the history of basketball. But he's merely average on defense.

Jordan won the scoring title, MVP, and DPOY in the same year. These kids don't compare.

Lebron should be thanking curry and the Warriors for having this kind of season, otherwise we'd be talking about how quickly he's declining. He looks awful this year.

Stephs impact >>>>>>>>>>>> Kawhi.

You can run an entire offense with just Steph. Kawhi is a great defender but team defense matters way more than individual defense.

Jordan would destroy Curry.
I think Lebron could beat Currys ass too.

When you watched Lebron play Curry in the finals, you could tell he didn't respect him and thought he was a little bitch.
TBH, he is a little bitch.

I think Kwhahi is only overrated because too many people fear that he can be underrated in a Pops system. I think if he wasn't playing in San Antonio and played on a team where he had to carry more of the burden, he could be a superstar.

Lebron just won player of the month for the east...

25/7/7 with a 27PER is your definition of "AWFUL"?
HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Even Kobe had a string of nine 40+ games. And he scored 81 in a game! Curry's never come close to either.

curry is the best shooter in the world right now. i dont think that's much of a debate.

he's very consistent and is producing a ton of points which probably gets him the overall offensive crown too at this point. Would his offense win best to 5 games in 21 with Lebron, probably not.

KL - he's v.good and sometimes amazing, but some of the praise heaped on him is kinda over the top sometimes.

You measure greatness by number of championships. Kobe's better than either of them.

*Laker fans

Pippen was awesome but you always wanted him taking the shots on those Bulls teams. Anyone other than Jordan who could score at will with two guys on him and a third running at him. Once Jordan used this defensive attention and started passing to Paxson and then Kerr, he won championships.

and Robert Horry is greater then Kobe... good point!

As for Curry vs whoever comparisons, I think you have to factor in how much his deep ball stretches the D to measure his impact. Draymond gets many of his assists after the D commits 2 defenders to trapping Curry out beyond the 3 point line giving the W's a 4 on 3 advantage. Green tallies the assists, but it's Curry's perimeter threat that creates the situation.

You really should flag stuff like this as NSFW.

Just sayin'.

How many other teams have been burned by picking up the Spurs "great" role players only to find out the are mediocre and that the Spurs system and Greg Popovic is so efficient any player who is willing to buy in will look way better than they actually are? It reminds me of the Nash lead Phoenix Suns era where quite a few guys ended up getting well paid by other teams are were just "meh". Remember Quentin Richardson? Raja Bell? James Jones?

You're fighting the good fight. People have such short memories. And some don't have a frame of reference for things that happened before they were old enough to observe it first hand, or in some cases, even born.

Curry is a phenomenal shooter. His teammates benefit by him stretching the floor. But he should not be in the conversation for best NBA player of all time.

Just my opinion of course. Worth about 2 pesos last time I checked.

Have you watch the Spurs recently? Leonard has become a first option playmaker.

Exactly! It's why I'd never trade with the Spurs, unless it's an OBVIOUS win.
