I hope that guy doesn't work for that paper, because that is one of the worst written "articles" I have ever read...

So the Bobcats theoretically would some money to spend.

They might have made the playoffs, might not have.
But rather than trade Dampier and add a contract, the Bobcats reduced their payroll but letting Dampier go.

What did they gain?

They don't have to pay him anymore.

Wow...

That's just how them talk down thar.

If you read it outloud with a Carolina accent it rolls right off the tongue.

Same like the only time yall write about the bobcats is when yall got something negative to say. I have to check numerous sights to keep up with the bobcats cause yall write about them every now and then. Write some good things and then people will have more respect for the negative stuff.

No, Natebishop3 has the most clever response in the thread...

(wait, did I post that under my main account? Oops...)

With a day to reflect on this trade, it looks even better to me this morning. We gave them the New Orleans pick this year, which means we still have our own. And the other first-round pick isn't until two seasons from now--and it's top-12 protected.

The only player of any significance that we gave up is Pryzbilla--and it remains to be seen if he will ever regain his old form.

With Aldridge and Camby able to play center, and perhaps Oden coming back next year, we should be fine at the center position.

This is a brilliant trade, in my opinion, right up there with the best of Whitsitt and Pritchard.

I agree, this is a tremendous trade. We just need Greg healthy and we're instant contenders.
